DH and I went down to Orlando for my birthday this past weekend. We got a great rate of $49 from Hotel Kingdom for Wyndham Palms. My remaining balance was $109.76.

We did the express checkout and I get the itemized statement today. They are charging my credit card $292.48!!! They show the rate as $80 via Hotel Kingdom with $9.60 in taxes each night.

I called Wyndham and of course there is no one to talk to this late in the evening. The cc co. won't do anything till the charge actually comes through. And Hotel Kingdom really seemed to have cared less.

I'll get it worked out since I have all my confirmations right in front of me. It just irks me that these things happen on a Fri night when I can't do anything about it till Mon.

THanks for the post. I am set to go to Wyndham Palms on Thursday and had a rate for a 2 bedroom at $80 a nite. I've already called Wyndham just to double check my balance, which was about $20 more than the last HOtel Kingdom email that was sent to me. So now, hearing your story, I am really worried.
Oh, and how was the Wyndham Palms?

The villa and the resort were freat. Really close to Disney too.

You might want to contact Hotel Kingdom now since you haven't gone yet. maybe they can fix this for you.

I had seen the $49 rate and was almost ready to book, but when I went back, it had gone up to $90, so I passed.

Must have been an error on their site, but they still need to honor the rate that they gave you.

I use Hotelkingdom quite a bit- let us know how this turns out.

Just making sure that everyone knows that Wyndham Palms is a time share resort. No housekeeping with those prices quoted. Make your own bed, clean your own bathroom, and even take out your own garbage. I prefer a regular hotel/resort where having those things done for me are taken for granted. We stayed at Wyndham Palms for 8 days last year. It was our first, and last, stay at a time share property.

I booked thru Hotelkingdom for the Royal Pacific Resort for 3 nites,Me being the king of it can go wrong it will:p Has allready contacted the hotel and asked for a balance due when i arrive,The Desk clerk couldnt give me that info so the gave me acountings phone #,So not only did i speak with some one in accounting ,I also e-mailed them with the same question,Yes they did respond to my e-mail so i now have a hard copy of our convesations,Moral of the story... Follow up , follow up ,, follow up. The#1 reason i kept following up on hotelkingdom???? Everytime i called them ,the C.S. rep acted like they hated talking to its customers......It was like i was interupting there coffee break or something.I can't complain about my rate,as it was the best one out there and i checked last nite and the rate has gone up again....Snooze you lose:hyper: :hyper: I'm going to Universal Studios and i may go see the mouse:earseek:

I am really sad to hear this about hotel kingdom. We have used them several times and have always had great customer service. Did have a problem one of the times, but it was handled so courteously and quickly I had no reservations (no pun intended) about using htem again. The comments above make me wonder why service would have declined so much. How disappointing.

hotelkingdom probably books most of their open villas. every stay I've had booked with hotelkingdom they've sent me several confirmations all with the pricing listed on it & I've used them 4 times this year with out any problems & with absolute great customer service. I'm sure if you fax your confirmations to Wyndham Palms they will straighten it all out for you. Its completely understandable to be upset about the overcharges but accidents do happen. Many people on these boards have used hotelkingdom.com with out a problem and this is more than likely an isolated incident.

to the others using hotelkingdom, please dont get too worried about this one slip up. I feel confident everything will work out in the end, especially with all the confirmation documents hotelkingdom sends out! in the past few weeks I've seen the Wyndham Palms rates change about 3 times which hasnt been very normal in the past with hotelkingdom. all the changes probably caused the mix up.

It May seem to be "isolated" to you and others,But when bad customer service happens to 2 Adults in the same week it no longer seems "isolated" Better use of the word Trend is what this sounds like to me.Dont get me wrong i have gotten ahold of bad cast members when i call Disney,Hence why i spend my lodgeing dollar else where.I will use hotelkingdom the next time if they happen to have the best rate,However it will be with Some Hesitation!I am happy to hear that you have gotten great service from them and have used this company many times in the past ,nor do i NOT recommend Hotelkingdom to any one whom may read this post,Yes you are correct in saying mistakes do happen,But there is NEVER a excuse for POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.And a poor attitude when it comes to there customer base.

I spoke to Maria at Wyndham Palms and had to fac my confirmation over to her. She says she has to email the info to her manager and that I should hear from her by Fri.

Mistakes do happen and I understand that. However, the attitude I got from Hotel Kingdom when I called on Fri did not make me feel ok. I should also add that right after I received the confirmation for Wyndham Palms, I also received a confirmation for Quality Suites near Universal. They didn't seem to think that was out of the ordinary to get that either.

I did the exact same thing as you! I booked through hotelkingdom.com at the Hard Rock hotel for last June. I had accounting e-mail me my balance and I brought that e-mail when I checked in, just in case!

Yes, I do always bring my confirmation email with me. Of course that didn't help when we tried to check into a place last year very late at night and they didn't hold our room for us and had nothing else appropriate left. (And that was a prepaid one too!) Hotel kingdom was so courteous and professional as well as apologetic and concerned that I was totally impressed.

The story had a happy ending as I called Vistana to see if they had availabilty and told them my sob story--no hotel at 2 a.m. and three very tired little ones--and they honored their hotel kingdom rate for us! I love that place! (And HK refunded our total original bill.)
