Over the River and Through the Woods to Mickey's House We Go! And Grandma is in Tow!

Good Lord have mercy! 6 to 7 Diet Cokes a day. No wonder you're always on the lookout for a potty!:rotfl: You know I'm just kidding ya!

Hey you are very right. I can't stand to go very long without having a diet Coke in my hand :confused3. All that caffeine and liquid does cause the "I need to go to the bathroom" syndrom...........:lmao:.

I think I'll blame all my troubles on the ghosts that inhabit this office we are in. For those of you who didn't read my Stop Making Me Laugh trip report, our law office is located in part of the downstars of what used to be an old hotel. All of the upstairs is vacant but is home to what I believe are ghosts.

There's always something missing or something put somewhere that I know good and well it wasn't before. I often smell cigarette smoke and there's nobody here but my boss and I. Neither one of us smoke.

We have doors that open and close or lock and unlock by themselves. We have a door that separates our office from a semi-empty suite next door. My boss' parents two cats have free reign over that suite and sometimes, even when the connecting door is locked, we find that the cats have made their way over to our office through an open door that was previously closed and locked.

Just the other day, I actually heard somebody mumble over my shoulder "hey you". I thought maybe somebody had come in the front door and I hadn't heard them. But, there was nobody here but me. The boss wasn't even here.

I haven't gotten scared too badly yet since the ghost(s) haven't done anything to me personally. I think the only time I really got spooked was when my boss' chair started turning all by itself. Nobody in his office but me and I was standing at the fax machine. That kinda took my breath away..

Those darn ghosts still won't leave you alone? :scared1:

While Mama and I were in town, John and Hunter worked in the yard. Spring has sprung big time at our house! Everything is green or maybe I should say green and yellow. Pollen yellow! When I say everything is yellow I mean everything.....the bbq grill, our porch swing, our bench, the cars, just everything. All of us have been sniffing and snotting for about a week now.

Everything around here is yellow too. We have all been snotting and sniffing, we sound like pigs snorting:lmao:.

John and I wanted to go out and eat. Hunter wanted to stay with his Mamaw so he wouldn't miss the Kids' Choice Awards. Priorities you know. John and I went to Applebee's. We hadn't been there is over a year. We ordered their new appetizer trio plate and it was soooo good. The wonton tacos are to die for. After we ate, we did what other kidless parents do......we went to Sam's Club, the Dollar Tree and Wal-Mart. Are we partiers or what?

I love Applebee's. We haven't been there in a while though. Oh yeah, we have those sweet date nights too. If I get lucky, sometimes we go to the Mall :rotfl:.

We are thinking about heading to Canton, Texas this Friday. They have a hummmmmmmmongous flea market there. You could easily spend at least three days there and not see it all. I've got Spring Fever really bad and feel the need to go somewhere. Since I can't go to Disney, I guess Canton is the next best thing. It's a long drive from here....several hours but I need to get out of the house. Housework can wait!

A friend of mine went to that flee market several years ago and she talked about how bit it is.

We actually thought about making the 9 hour drive to see Lacey over the three day weekend. But, she is in Tennessee until sometime Friday. They have practice on Saturday for a drama they are doing Easter Sunday at church. Meaning, we would only have a few hours to see her before we would have to head home Sunday after church. Guess I'll have to wait until she comes home in May to see my baby.

Did I tell ya'll that her Mission students and the people at church have given her the nickname "Flutter" to go along with her fluttering heart?

I know you miss Lacey like crazy. I feel so blessed that Amanda stayed at home to go to school. She had scholarship offers from as far away a USC and UCLA :scared1:. I would have been a basket case if she had went to California for college.

I love her new nickname :rotfl:.

I almost forgot to mention that the homemade laundry detergent is working really well. Even though our water still stinks (literally, we have the worst darn water around here), our clothes don't. I even tried using it in our dishwasher and my dishes came out really clean. It's definitely a multi purpose detergent for sure.

I am going to have to try and make some. It would be great not to have to buy laundry or dishwasher detergent.

:thumbsup2 Great job on the $19 by the time I looked they were gone but they did have the 20% needless to say I didn't do it...still have not crossed over, I have come pretty close...if its for me I just have a hard time doing it. and I really do not think Gwendolyn would like the prints (she does not do pink--unless I buy it, she prefers green and that print has not seen a sale yet).

I was wondering how the detergent was doing! I think I might send Gwendolyn and Joe the receipe to give them something to do  although with the beautiful weather we have had; they have finally started really working on the dirt work on the property...

YELLOW POLLEN!:scared1: poor Ashton has been wheezing and coughing for a week now! my car was yellow the other day...:confused3 it is in the garage!
Dayne and I are normally sick but knock on wood we have been holding w/o problems for now. Our hunter green roof is yellow, even the pond has a yellow sheen...hopefully, we will get a really quick but hard downpour Saturday...enough to wash some of the pollen away.

Have a great day! :wave2:

Morning Lisa! :goodvibes

Those darn ghosts! Seriously..you are a braver soul than I. I would be completely freaked out if I heard voices. :scared1: :scared1:

Oh...my son Dan LOVED the won-ton tacos at Applebee's too! YUM!

Too bad you won't be able to see Lacey for Easter. Sounds like a long trip to take if you can't spend much time. May will be here before you know it!

Spring is finally coming to upstate New York. We are forecasted to have temps in the 70s and 80s this weekend. Unseasonably warm, but I'll take it! :cool1:

How did you make the laundry detergent? I would love to not have to purchase it or to just have extra on hand when we run out of our regular laundry detergent.

I was so happy to see your update! I love your ghost stories. :thumbsup2
I LOVE flea markets!!! Please take your camera if you go. ;) Ours doesn't open until May.
Ummm....I didn't know you watch America's Next Top Model!!!! I watch every week. I missed my calling as a fashion photographer, so I suffer through the drama to see the photo shoots & resulting photos. Last night was so gross with the tub-o-blood.

First off, let me say I'm so glad to read a Lisa update, because I always find myself laughing out loud! :lmao:

You would know that right after I bought them, somebody posted on the Disboards that you could get an additional 20% off.

:rolleyes1

You sound like me-----I have discovered and taken to using those strips you put across you nose to help you breathe. Now don't start laughing yet.....I don't wear them all the time, just at bed time!

After we ate, we did what other kidless parents do......we went to Sam's Club, the Dollar Tree and Wal-Mart.

Lisa---May I remind you that this is a family board?!? Keep it clean! :rotfl:

Hope you have a happy Easter weekend! :)

I only have a few minutes as I am trying to get a little housework done before turning in for the night. We are going to the huge flea market in Canton, Texas tomorrow so I probably won't be updating tomorrow. Just depends on what time we get home which I am figuring will be late.

Anyway enough rambling (like I don't do that all the time :lmao:) Guess what? :yay: Guess what! :yay: Guess what? :yay: Guess what! :yay:

About a week or two ago, I received an email from The Mickey's Mom Club asking me to enter a contest to host an in-home "What Will You Celebrate" Disney party. Only 1,000 applications were taken. I had to write a little mini-essay about myself and interests and my family. Well, today I got an email from Disney and I was chosen!:cheer2: I almost pee'd my pants!

About two months ago, I helped two of my cousins and their families' plan trips to Walt Disney World. They are actually going the same time as we are. So, I think I'll be inviting them over so we can have a party. I can hardly wait.

I just wonder if this will give me any advantage when they take applicants for the Mickey's Mom Club next year? Wouldn't that be the coolest?!?!

Here's a copy of my email from Walt Disney World.
