Over the river and through the FUN!

There's part of the upstairs dining area that is over the outside walkway. We like to sit by the window and watch people walk under... but then we like to people watch all over Disney (it's very entertaining!)

People watching at Disney is one of my favorite "attractions".

Hope you are feeling better, MeMom! That dream you had was something else!

I would hazard to guess he is a diehard -- everytime I have been in his office to pick up tests or drop tests off in the last two years, he has had a different desktop background on his computer. ;)

YOAMD on the coffee mug. I can't wait to see the new designs.

It was fun to talk Disney instead of norm-referenced scores. :rotfl:

I read where somebody said the mugs have the same light blue coloring but have ovals with different characters on them. I haven't seen a picture of one yet, though.

We spent our planning time today listening to data about the ThinkLink program. Programs, programs, and more programs...

I will eat at CHH in June; I will eat at CHH in June; I will eat at CHH in June -- I have wanted to for several trips, but we always end up at Pecos.

That clam chowder looks delicious!

I am glad to hear that Jill convinced you not to carry around fish in a baggie!!! :lmao:

John had the clam chowder. He said it was pretty good. Drew has had it there before and liked it. Brooklynn and I shared chicken, fish, and apples.

:cool2: so do i get a prize?

ray would totally have done this. he wants to crab fish for a season so he can make a bucketload of money in like 3 weeks and i told him no, that i'd rather have my husband alive.

probably good advice.

Your prize. Hmmm. Yes, you should get a prize.
Let me think about what it will be, and I'll get back to you.

I usually have a piece of fish leftover from there.
I could send that to you C.O.D.
C.O.D. ---fish---- are you laffin' yet?

I used to know a girl whose husband went out on some oil rig for months at a time. She liked having him gone and then home, because she said they never fought or got tired of each other.

Jill has convinced me that I'm not going to eat it later, so I reluctantly throw it out. It does pain me to throw out food, though, because I know there are truly kids that that would be a feast to, and I feel kind of sinful disposing of perfectly good food.

Hope everything came out ok with Jill's tests. And I am glad that you are feeling better. That was quite an entertaining dream, at least to me. I agree that the Kingdom Keepers book are a great read.
Oh yeah, I thought of you and Brooklynn yesterday while I was at Target. In their dollar bin, they had a bunch of Monster's Inc stuff. They had notebooks, pencils, little coloring books and socks. They also had Toy Story and The Incredibles.

I'll have to be sure to stay away from Target. I'm buying only necessities right now, and I know I would want to make a purchase.

At least his priorities were in order! :thumbsup2:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

He was a happy man when he came home!

Good Morning! Hope you're feeling better today MeMom and that you had nice peaceful dreams rather than odd ones. I find too that when I dream about WDW that it is different than in real life. It looks different or certain things are in the wrong parks or all mashed together....weird! At least you and Brooklyn were safe and you got your plates back! :upsidedow I often dream about walking through a Haunted Mansion...but it's not the Haunted Mansion that is now. The decor is all brown, more like an abandoned farm house and I'm always alone in it. Strange!

Don't you just love Columbia Harbour House?! Their food is good and there usually isn't much of a wait. Plus eating upstairs is often quiet and relaxing. Thanks for sharing as I didn't get there on this past trip! And good idea on not carrying fish in a baggie....that is a nightmare in itself!

Jill - nice to hear that you're getting the internet! :goodvibes I can't wait to hear more from you! Hope you're feeling well!

Looks like more than one of us could be writing books!

Columbia Harbour House does provide a nice cool sit-down counter meal for a reasonable price. We like it, and we've found it less crowded when we've gone than Pinocchio's. It's time for us to get back to Pinocchio's, too, though.

Thanks for all the great pictures of my favorite CS restaurant in Magic Kingdom! I love everything there - the tuna sandwich, the hummus sandwich, the mac n cheese, and the clam chowder (though I wish it still came in a bread bowl!). Between this and the other TR I just read (Lessa's!) that showed pictures of the cheeseburgers at Beaches and Cream, I am REALLY hungry now!

I'll have to try a hummus sandwich sometime.

I hope you enjoyed a good big meal somewhere!

That dream is HILARIOUS! Don't you wish that you knew what dreams like that meant? CHH looks good, definitely will have to eat there soon.

btw, I had KFC last night for dinner and though of Jill. It was delishhh!

A dream interpreter might quit his profession after talking to me!

Once I can eat again, something more than mashed potatoes and soup, I'll have to go get KFC because we've talked about it so much!

Hope you are feeling better today.

We've never eaten at CHH, have to try there with the newbies.

Somewhat better. The swelling is down, and I did go to school. I'm home for the night, though, and will take a pain pill before bed time. I think the little pain that is left should be gone by tomorrow.

It's amazing how aware you become when something on you is sore, though. For instance, I never thought I used my teeth to move a vacuum cleaner, but tonight when I ran the vacuum cleaner in the hallway, I could feel the pressure in my mouth!

There's part of the upstairs dining area that is over the outside walkway. We like to sit by the window and watch people walk under... but then we like to people watch all over Disney (it's very entertaining!)

It's less crowded upstairs, too.

Disney World is a prime spot for people watching!

People watching at Disney is one of my favorite "attractions".

Mine, too!

There may be a bunch of us watching each other!

I had all 4 of wisdom teeth pulled at the same time about 4 years ago and my dentist told me I couldn't vacuum until I had my stiches out. Not that I was in any shape to vacuum mind you after that surgery.

I really wish that they would go back to the resort specific mugs -- I miss those.

I love fried fish so everytime I look at the menu on allears, that's the item I want the most.

:lmao: you are too funny.

Catching up after losing my internet for a few days earlier this week.

your pics of the HM cemetery are very cool and your pics of the ghosts turned out good!

YUMYUM CHH looks good, put it on my next time list!

Oh dear MeMom, what a dream...I think I need a dentist more like you and Punkin have. the last time I had work done, she gave me the novacaine shot and SOMETHING went wrong and my heart began to race, my legs went numb and I almost passed out :scared1: She gave me oxygen and I came out of it. THEN when she began to drill, I could feel it

I had to go back a week later because the filling she put in pushed so close to the tooth next to it, I could barely get floss in the space. She told me the only solution would be to redo the filling :sad2: I DON'T THINK SO :sad2: I will fight with the floss thank you!

I am the same way--I think I get it from my dad, who got it from his mother. He HATES to throw away food. I'm not a big eater--I'm usually done after an appetizer, so I often box up my food. Even if I don't eat it, there are two guys in the house who are usually more than willing to help out. In Disney, especially at the Pop food court, I try to split with someone, or I ask for the child portions. I feel kinda bad doing that, but I feel worse wasting the food. Now, I need to leave a note for my mom telling her to help herself to my leftovers from the Cheesecake Factory. :upsidedow

The Welcome Center was decorated with some nutcrackers around the top shelves.

Hey! We always stop at this Welcome Center when we get into Florida!

I only vacuumed one little section of the hallway in front of the jelly cabinet where I had dropped a box of Hungry Jack mashed potato flakes and some of it spilled out. I wasn't trying to be industrious or anything. I just did it because I had to, and I was surprised that I could feel it in my teeth!

I think the days of resort specific mugs are long gone. That's sad.

ThinkLink is just another computer test that puts out more data, because that's all anything is about any more. We marvel at how all of us were able to grow up to read and write and even teach others without all of the programs, testing, and data that is supposedly so crucial now. I hate testing with a passion. Accountability and occasional testing - no problem, but this constant stuff they have in place in our system is past ridiculous. There's not time to teach for all the testing!

:lmao: you are too funny.

Or just stoopid or weird or strange or corny, if that's still a word anyone uses.
My kids say they didn't have a chance to be normal because I'm so weird. It remains to be seen whether it seeps into Brooklynn's generation.

I'm glad your internet is back in action.

I'm allergic to novacaine, so I can't have it or a few other things that end in -caine. They figured that out some years ago when my head swelled up like a hot air balloon and looked like it might float me away! I am very blessed to have an excellent dentist who is very easy and talks me through everything along the way. He knows I love him and hate him all in one.

I am the same way--I think I get it from my dad, who got it from his mother. He HATES to throw away food. I'm not a big eater--I'm usually done after an appetizer, so I often box up my food. The kids' portions are the right amount for me, or Jill and I will share a lot. I really do hate to throw away food. At home, I can just put anything I didn't touch on someone else's plate and they'll devour it, but I can't very well do that in Disney World. I could probably get away with giving away something that was closed up in a wrapper, but I doubt I'd have any takers if I went to someone and said, "I haven't touched this delicious piece of chicken, and you are welcome to have it, if you'd like." :) Too bad, because good food does go to waste.

Wow I'm slow...I'm just now getting over here. I'm sorry. :flower3:

From reading your report, I'd just say you're busy, not slow.

Hey! We always stop at this Welcome Center when we get into Florida!

When Jill and I drive, we leave our Perry, GA pitstop so early that the Welcome Center is still closed when we go through. When we have the guys with us, it's open, because they don't let us start as early.

After we had finished eating,

IMG_0413.jpg

we asked Brooklynn what she wanted to ride, and she said Peter Pan.

IMG_0414.jpg

Until I get a really nice camera someday, it's pointless for me to even try to get good pictures in the dark rides, yet I still do it time

after time

after time.

IMG_0424.jpg

Why do I continue to torment myself?
I do not know.
I guess because it's Disney, and I keep grasping at straws.

More shopping.

Brooklynn, Jill, and I were having a great time.

IMG_0428.jpg

I can't say as much for John.
I'm sure he was trying hard to think about football and John Deere and race cars and tools to try to offset some of the fluff he was standing in the midst of.

Stained glass pictures.

Brooklynn likes pictures of and with fountains.

Looking up at castle details.

Shopping and gazing up at the castle is a great way to start my Saturday morning!!!

I agree about all the testing -- it is ridiculous!

I love those pictures of the castle detail, its amazing and beautiful. Brooklynn is a good little shopper too, picking out exactly what she wants. And she loves her some fountain pics, I'm surprised she didnt want to play in the water

Good morning all! I talked to the doctor yesterday and she said all my results looked good except one. She said it was reading kind of high and she just wants me to watch my carb intake. I informed her carbs are my life I love bread, pasta, potatoes, etc. She said it wasn't high enough to be super worried her concern is just that Isabella will be too big. She is already guessing that Isabella will probably weigh in at 9 lbs or so since Brooklynn was 8 lbs 5 oz. and second babies are generally bigger. So add the fact that if the insulin isn't doing what it is supposed to can make your baby bigger she is trying to avoid me delivering a baby any bigger than 9 lbs. So for the sake of trying not to have this baby early and trying to avoid a C section I will strictly limit my carbs for the next 13 weeks, but take note that someone will need to have Cracker Barrel dumplins, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese and fried apples waiting for me after I deliver. (Got that order MeMom?!)

if you wanna hear more about my experience with sedatin dentistry, PM me.

love the pics, memom! especially the stained-glass ones! so pretty.

jill - good to hear that you're doing well. i love carbs too! good thing cutting back on them is only for a few more months!

I SOO did not know that 2nd babies are bigger than the 1st. Caleb was 9lbs 0.3 oz so this makes me worried about a 2nd. maybe he will be an only child:confused3 don't know if mama can do a even bigger baby. Maybe with an even stronger epidural. I had a hard time pushing his big head out and I definitely do not want a c-section if I can avoid it. Not wanting a c-section is one of the main reasons I switched to the midwife after she delivered Caleb since she was already at the hospital and my doctor wasn;t. It turned out to be the best thing because I like her soo much more than my OB.

Hi Jill, glad to hear that your tests came out well. Cutting carbs is definitely going to be hard! But only for 13 weeks, you can do it :thumbsup2

I hope your baby girl isn't more than 9 lbs! I was the first baby and I was 8 lb 2 oz and my brother is 2 yrs younger and he was 9 lb 2 oz but we were both c sections...so more power to you girl!

MeMom, hope you're feeling better today!

Fabulous pics as always MeMom! A beautiful castle and cutie Brooklyn! What more can we ask for?! :)

Jill - I hear ya! I am a total carbaholic! I suppose I'm in for a cutback too if I ever have a baby! I'm glad everything else checked out okay though! Keep smiling, you're almost there! :)
