Over the river and through the FUN!

we saw the same guy yesterday and he was awesome. he picked a "bug" out of the hair of the woman sitting next to me and ate it.

Oh My!! That is too funny!

I Hope everyone is staying safe out there in whatever wintery weather you're experiencing.

I'm on auto pilot today so forgive me. My work dinner was alot of fun. We went to a casual place and the food was okay. I had a club sandwich w/ fries and coleslaw. I was craving one for weeks now so I jumped at the chance. Sorry no food porn, I would have been teased for years if I did that. :rotfl: I wish I could name all the different shots I drank. It seemed to be one right after another. Let me say that I'm not a drinker. I didn't get sick which I'm pleased about but today I had a bad headache. :headache: After dinner & drinks we headed to a bar/pool place. I have never played pool before and it was quite comical. My face hurt at the end of the night from laughing so much. ;) Good times!

Thanks kschafer for offering to get me a tree, you are too sweet. I feel so lucky to know people who are so thoughtful and kind hearted. Someone else sent me a PM and offered to get me one too. I still can't believe how nice everyone is here on the DIS. If there is ever anything I can do for you, I would be more than happy to do it. :grouphug:

Awww, I miss Papa John's pizza. We would alternate between Papa John's (my favorite) and Pizza Hut (husbands favorite) and Ci Ci's Pizza (Aaron's favorite) :dance3:

Yawn....I'm going to turn in early, night all! Some of us are not used to being out all night partying. :lmao:

I like ham and pineapple or mushroom.
Papa John's or Pizza Hut.
Thanks for ordering!

I like ham, mushroom and bacon. Yum!

Awww, I miss Papa John's pizza.

:offtopic: but just so everyone knows the BEST is pineapple and banana peppers!!!! And it HAS to be Papa Johns...no one else can do that one justice!

It is the best mix I have ever had on a pizza....just try it somtime. If you like the sweet/salty thing I PROMISE you will love it!

ok...back to the parade

 Your funny!! As it turns out,,I ordered Ham and pineapple from Pizza hut. stuffed crust. now I`m stuffed....if only you could help me to get my 5th grader to do his math homework...:headache:

One completed Math problem = one bite of pizza...until all the Math problems are done!
If he doesn't work fast enough, all the pizza could be gone.
That would be sad.

Trent and I both love the ham and pineapple combination. We get frozen cheese pizzas from the store and doctor them up.

Yea really :lmao:. And I need to talk to him about the fact if it's going to actually do something just make SURE I don't have to go to work. That would be much nicer .

Now I know you will also be discussing with him that you can't have to many b/c then you would have to work to many days over into the summer :headache:

I'm listening to him right now. He told us about last week's snow day several days before it was ever called.

I hope that you get another snow day! How awesome would that be?! There hasn't been anything in our area yet. There was the ice storm around western MA a few days ago, but today it was in the 60's.

I meant to tell you this--I had a dream a couple of nights ago that I was talking to you either on here or on the phone about where I live, but somehow it was in relation to Disney World! I was trying to explain some part of Boston to you (which isn't where I live, I only live near it), saying something about, "when you're on the bus to MGM," and I was on a Disney bus going by the Union Oyster House in Boston, and past Fanuiel Hall. Then I was at some weird Epcot/AK crossover, which looked like something that I had dreamt about before, and talking about going on a ride that scared the crap out me before, which doesn't actually exist, but that also happened to be in a dream that I had a while ago!! Really, I think it's top on the list of my most random dreams, and that's saying a lot b/c I have had some doozies. :rotfl:

Since we just had a break and are just about to have another, I'd like to save the snow days.
Every Wednesday in January would be nice.
Work two days, off a day, work two days, off for the weekend.
Yep. Sounds good.

I have some crazy dreams, too.
A lot of my dreams used to involve the old dial telephones. I'd be in a hurry, and the stupid phone would have no numbers, so I'd have to count each number out.

Or one time I remember the pay phone took m&ms instead of money, and I was out of m&ms!

I've had many, many crazy dreams, and some of them have been like you said, crossing people and places over into each other. You wake up and wonder why X from work was at your church and why your church was in another city and why that city was all covered in purple leaves or something crazy and why yesterday was really happening tomorrow.
Not that I've ever had that dream, but that's just something wild enough that I would dream it.

I'd love to know what dreams really mean, if they really do mean anything.

funny.....seems like i just saw this. maybe because 29 hours ago....I DID!!!! ;)

we saw the same guy yesterday and he was awesome. he picked a "bug" out of the hair of the woman sitting next to me and ate it.

You were just there!
That's what I do when I see people's pictures. I'll say out loud, "I was just there!!!"
A mom at school brought her family's scrapbook in yesterday. It was from their October trip, and they stayed at Pop. I looked at it and just kept saying to myself, "That's our kiddie pool. Those are our Goofy jets. That's our Big Wheel! We just stayed right there in that Mickey phone building!"

I'm glad you got to go, and I know you had a great time. Maybe you can carry some of that Disney Christmas magic over into your own Christmas at home.

And you are right, it did come fast this year!

Oh My!! That is too funny!

I Hope everyone is staying safe out there in whatever wintery weather you're experiencing.

They're saying black ice is causing wrecks all over our area. They've closed a bunch of school systems around us, but not ours, as of now.

I like ham, mushroom and bacon. Yum!

So when you come through Nashville going to Disney World, and it's not in the middle of the night, we'll meet at a pizza place!

I'm on auto pilot today so forgive me. My work dinner was alot of fun. We went to a casual place and the food was okay. I had a club sandwich w/ fries and coleslaw. I'm glad you had fun. I've laughed until my face hurt, too, and I wasn't even drinking. I couldn't tell you a thing in the world about drinking. I'm goofy enough without drinking. I can't imagine what a sight I might be if I drank!

You know any of them would get a tree or just about anything else for you, too. There are very nice people around here.

We have a CiCi's close, too, but my favorites are Papa John's and Pizza Hut. We rarely order pizza - maybe for a group thing, but not on a regular basis.

Drew would help you eat the one with peppers. He's all about hot and spicy stuff.

MeMom - yes the family are dying to know if its pink or blue!
They think we know but are keeping it a secret!!!

I'd love to know what dreams really mean, if they really do mean anything.

Last year I kept having recurring dreams that I lived in a different home and after being there for years, I discovered rooms I never knew existed (or had forgotten about). I went online and looked up the significance of dreaming about a home and it said they represent your personality.

I thought about that and decided that I was unhappy in my job (which I knew) and that by staying there out of fear of the unknown, I was allowing the unhappiness and stress in my life to overtake who I really am inside. Once I made the decision to take the leap and quit my job, I've never had that dream again.

Great AK updates! :thumbsup2 I especially enjoyed the Jammin' Jungle Parade pics. I would have to say that's my fave Disney parade. (Well, favorite tied with SpectroMagic!) And it's even cuter during Christmastime. :santa: AK is so great during the cooler months b/c you can really take your time and enjoy it, rather than rushing through so you can get out of the heat. Oh, how I wish I were there right now...

Yep. Sounds good.

Then I hope that the weather cooperates for you and doesn't force anyone to cancel school. :goodvibes That would be awesome if it worked out that way! I am hoping for snow days next semester, but I'll only be going twice a week next semester, so if we have to have any, I hope that they are on Mondays and Thursdays.

That dream about the M&M's is too funny. Last night, I kept on hearing car alarms in whatever dreams that I had that I can't remember and I was getting so mad because it wouldn't stop! When I got up this morning, Michael asked me if I had heard a car alarm going off for 30 minutes straight around 4 AM.

I want to try that pineapple/banana pepper combination that VandyFan mentioned, because we have a Papa John's nearby! I think that my boyfriend or my dad would be the only ones willing to try that with me. Oh boy, now I'm hungry. :rotfl:

Either way, it's going to be completely awesome!

I may have to do some research. Then again, I may not want to know.

It really is nice to go in the cooler weather. Standing in any lines or walking around without being all sweaty is nice.

I agree. The parade is awesome, and it is even neater with the Christmas decorations. I love the music, too!

Many of the counties around us were out, but we went. Hopefully, we'll get snow days in January and February.

Okay, you, Drew, and Erica can share that pizza!

**************************************

Even though we were about a month and a half shy of the January 1st, Mickey sent us our first Happy New Year 2009 greeting at the end of the parade. Maybe that means good things for 2009!

We decided to catch a safari, but unlike this summer, when we did evasive maneuvers weaving in and out of thousands of people trying to catch it before it close, this time we just walked like normal people.

That was nice.

IMG_0132.jpg

There wasn't much that was memorable about this safari. No lion up pacing around, no ostrich blocking our path, no elephants walking over the bridge.

Just a regular safari, and if we hadn't been on several awesome ones, we might not have known that it was kind of average in terms of seeing unusual things.

There was a hippo lying on the bank.

IMG_0135.jpg

There really didn't seem to be a lot of animals out in the viewing areas.

I took this one to show how they protect the trees with mesh netting. Hopefully you can see it.

I was happy to get a picture of a cheetah up walking around.

Any safari at Disney is still good. You get a chance to see animals that you rarely get a chance to see. I, like others, wish the jeeps could stop and just watch for a while, but that's not how it works here. You can do that when you're walking the trails - stop and watch the apes and tigers and not have to move on quickly.

Please don't think I'm complaining in any way. We were happy to be in Disney World, and happy to have been able to go on the safari with very little wait. It just wasn't one of the most exciting safaris we've been on as far as animal activity.

I hear ya MeMom...I've never had an overly exciting Safari! I mean, I still think they're great as I love animals and am excited for a glimpse! But I've never had an elephant block the path, or a hippo try to get on the tram or anything! ;) You still got some great photos though! I really enjoy the flamingos! If I were a bird, I would definately want to be pink!

I really enjoyed your Safari piccies - we skipped it during our trip in November. I was too worried about the warnings of riding during pregnancy so didn't go on it and I really missed it!

Mum and I didn't do a lot in AK, it was our last full day of the holiday and think we were ready for home - silly I know and you'll think I'm crazy! But we were missing our hubbies and were just, you know, ready for home time. I had an ADR at Yak and Yeti, which I loved but Mum didn't so much. I think if it wasn't for that and me saying it'd be a fantastic meal, we might have skipped AK altogether - we only saw the Lion King and ITTBAB!!!

So you must put up more piccies!!!

Henry would love the parade, and so would his mommy. If I was going to be in any parade, I'd like to be in that one. They have cool rides!

I hope to see it in January! :thumbsup2

Our safari wasn't too exciting either this past time - the most thrilling thing was an ostrich in the road that held up the truck in front of us. Hopefully this next time we'll get a good safari with lots of animals.

I love the pic of your truck in the mirror-very creative!

We're back, and i'm just catching up! Mom saw so many mousefest people, she wants to join the DIS!

I'm all caught up.
Was Drew unable to go due to his injuries, or was he not planning to go?
