...for toiletries. GREAT idea from Disboards, used it last time.
Packing again to leave Wed -
remind me of what you put in it, thanks!!

I put all that stuff you hate digging for. You know : "Mom, where's the ____". Since I did the packing, I had to do the finding.

I put one on the inside ot the door with everyone's undies.

And another on the outside with little things like band ades, tylenol, toe nail clippers, deodorant, baby powder, hair bands, etc..

They worked great except on this last trip alot of the things fell out of the pockets in the garment bag I had it in. (We drive). So I had to fill it all over again when we got there.

I need to find one w/ zippers. Or maybe I'll roll itup.

The one in the PP is too small for a fam of 5. I have one from our before kids days & they work great.

One of the best tips I ever got off the disboards bought my shoe organizer at the EVERYTHING A DOLLAR store 10 yrs ago an it is still going strong. I think i remember seeing a pic here yrs ago of someones organizer that they had stuck labels on outsides of pockets as to what when where.....which can save al lot of MOM where is the?

Don't forget the Tylenol, Bandaids, Neosporin, etc. We camp at Fort Wilderness and we use a hanging shoe organizer to keep order in the camper. We even put our cell phones, wallets, and cameras in the pockets, which may be unnecessary in a hotel room, but in a camper space is at a premium.

If you are in a hotel room, put some paper napkins and plastic utensils in one pocket. When we used to stay in a hotel, one time we ordered take out to our room and they didn't bring utensils! Very annoying, to say the least.

The shoe organizer also cuts down on DH asking me where is my wallet, where are the park passes, etc. I also keep sunscreen in one pocket so seeing it constantly reminds me to use it repeatedly!

They are a brilliant invention, if you ask me!

I used one for the first time on our cruise this summer, it was great. It keeps all of the little things off the tops of the desk/dresser and keeps things somewhat neater. We put all of the things mentioned (bandaids, sunscreen, tylenol, etc) in there along with all of the various chargers. It is amazing how many different plugs you need to take along and how much space they take up in the room. Having the hanging organizer made a huge difference.

We didn't use up all of our pockets, but items I stored in there were:

Bandaids
Makeup
Hairbrush
Safe Key (shhhh)
Deodorants
Sunscreen
Q-Tips
Ponytail Holders
Perfume
Tylenol
Tums

Basically each pockets got it's own item.

DH even commented how nice it was.

I have one of those inside of my bathroom, hanging on the door. I use it to put a lot of stuff that normally sits on the counter : hairbrushes, shaving cream, toothpaste, hairspray, mousse, etc.

It has really helped to reduce the clutter.
