Hey y'all!

We'll be RVing down to Florida from Canada, which will be a first for us.

We were wondering what is banned from going over the border, other then fruits and veggies and specifically if milk is allowed over?

In addition: have you ever had any problems going over in a RV? We've only ever crossed the border in our van, so I don't know what the difference will be.

Thanks for everything!

Meat, also watch if you prepare a dish at home (example: Lasagna) they will make you throw it out (dish and all), just happened to my DB & SIL last week. Had no problems with their RV though. Don't know about the milk.

You can't take any beef. You can take chicken but it must be cooked. Pork is fine. They have also implimented a full wood (ie. firewood) ban about two weeks ago.

I have crossed the border in a rented motor home with no problems they just ask the standard questions

last time we were in florida (apr 2006) they asked if we had any kind of meat but I had stocked up on grapefruit and oranges (in the bags from a fruit dealer in Largo) and they let me bring them home no problem
