Well Canada got rid of our Pennie’s ( 1 cent) years ago.

Just round up or down .

Not many people are using cash any more either since Covid got easy to just tap.

We still have cash on hand but funny when the machines go down and people have leave with out there stuff.

The .01, .02, .03, and .04 price point does not need to go away.

For electronic transactions if something is 22.34 it gets charged at 22.34. If cash it gets rounded.

Pennies have been obsolete in Canadian currency for years now. Make no mistake though - prices still end in odd amounts. They are always rounded up in favor of the merchant if you are paying cash. As @NAB pointed out, the vast majority of transactions here are electronic, so it matters very little. I don't miss pennies.

That’s fine. US pennies and nickels would remain legal tender. They’d just be removed from circulation if spent or exchanged for other coins or bills.

I've never once seen it rounded down, but I suppose that could be coincidence based on the final price never ending in .01 or .02. I practically never pay for anything with cash. In digital transactions, you pay whatever the exact price is.
