Hi All, Ive been having the ADR bug lately and just cant seem to finalize our ADR's. Last week I took out Chef Mickeys for Chefs de France, This week took out Dinners at Boma and Liberty Tree for Jiko and Narcoossee's. well, I think you should seriously consider dumping some of those breakfasts, at least on the two days when you have 4 or less hours between your breakfast & lunch ADRs...just about guarantee you that you will not be very hungry for those lunch meals when you finished eating only 3 hours before (if you get seated at Kona by 9:00 A.M. and get done around 10:00...then you're checking into Coral Reef less than three hours later?)

So on Tuesday, I'd drop Kona & just get a quick bite for breakfast (or have breakfast much earlier -- like 7:30.)

TU 4/21/2009
BREAK Kona Café 8:55
LUNCH Coral Reef Restaurant 12:30
DINNER Chefs de France 8:00

same with this day - you only have 4 hours between reservations for a big breakfast & a big lunch - you won't be out of breakfast until about 9:20 - then you're going to be eating lunch 3 hours later?:
SAT 4/25/2009
BREAK Princess Storybook at Akershus 8:20
LUNCH Teppen Edo 12:30

If you don't want to get rid of any ADR's, you could always share. If you can find 2 places you wouldn't mind sharing at, you'll be all set.

I would take out Narcoosee's on your arrival day. Not sure if you are flying/driving and what time you are scheduled to arrive, but after being up early for your trip you may just want to have a nice early night to bed. Plus, in case you are delayed you may not want to have an ADR that day---maybe just do a CS meal at your hotel??

Also---I see that on some days you have two buffets scheduled in a row (i.e. Boma for breakfast and CP for lunch). On those days when you do a buffet first thing in the morning---I think you could get away with skipping lunch and just grabbing a snack in between breakfast and dinner to tide you over and maybe try getting an earlier ADR to Jiko?

Since you have SO many sit-down meals scheduled, it should be easy to weed out a Signature dining or two TS meals before the trip to save yourself the credits. OR---if you are really set on eating at all of these places, maybe just eliminate a couple of the large breakfasts (like Boma on your last day) and pay OOP for a quick-service breakfast to save yourself the money. :thumbsup2

4/24 you have three big meals scheduled
Tusker house (B & L) and then Ohana I would keep the B and D and just get something quick for lunch because i've heard Ohana is a belly buster and Tusker house is a buffet

4/22 I would just do the Crystal Palace breakfast instead of Lunch and then Jiko dinner especially since you have Boma breakfast already two other days you don't need it three times thats overkill imo, or you could do Crystal Palace breakfast CRT dinner on 4/26. your CP lunch Jiko dinner is a good time stretch so either one would be good to do

I think you have too many breakfasts scheduled, we're doing QS for most breakfasts because we're not breakfast eaters but if you are a breakfast eater you should do smaller lunches

This would get rid of 2 credits:

I know you are at AKL...but I wouldn't do Boma breakfast 3 times...I would skip it on the day you have CP lunch..that way you can easily make rope drop...use snack credits at the Mara or Main Street Bakery for breakfast :) (If you are Deluxe...then you have 14 snack credits per person plus your refillable mug at the Mara)

With 3 young kids, I might also switch Narcoosee's to Boma on your arrival, that way you will have a nice resort day

If you want to keep Narcoosee's I would get rid of Tusker House lunch...you are going to eat a huge buffet breakfast and then eat again less than 4 hours later? then eat again about 5 hours later (family style) Again, you could just grab snacks or split some counter service meals (Flame Tree BBQ is supposed to be good...or if you go back to AKL, then you could use your refillable mugs and share some counter service at the Mara)

All in all, I like all the eating! But I do think that some of your meals are really close together. If it is just an issue of which to pay out of pocket, I'd go with Kona for breakfast and 50's Prime Time. But if you are looking to drop something, I'd say those same two to drop because they are your potentiolly cheapest meals based off of the menus only. I'd keep what you have. I'd spring for the other two out of pocket. Or just leave it how it is and if you don't feel like one or two of them while you are there, you're good. I think you have made great selections and have made good use of your dining plan. And even though you have buffets back to back, with kids, it has been our experience that that is not a bad thing!
