Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of this happening on DCL?

I know company's sometimes come and charter the boat which can cause cancellations of bookings but I have never heard stories of people booking then being told at a later date actually we are full, just curious if it ever happens?

Disney actually underbooks their cruises. There is a formula they use with regard to lifeboat capacity that is used. There are always some empty rooms.

Sorry. DCL overbooks before the pif date.they know a lot of people are going to cancel when the pif date comes in close. I know of one time in DCL history they were over booked. They didn't have as many cancelations as they predicted. But it in the long run it all worked out. DCL offered a very good deal for those who wanted to go on another cruise instead of that one. It went by volunteers. I imagine it was a lot of floridians that took that deal since they wouldn't bought air fare.
