Outstanding TV progs of the past..

.. I was going to write on one of the threads a quote from an old TV programme and I started thinking about progs - whatever format they were in and whether a "one off" or serial - that really stood out from the rest.... ones that you enjoyed so much you remember them fondly.

I was thinking of "House Of Cards" (... and the quote? "You might say that, but I couldn't possibly comment" ... sorry if thats not word perfect!!!))

Anything for you that has stayed in your memory long after the last credits rolled?

I remember being allowed to stay up late - after 9.....to watch Starskey and Hutch on a Friday night. I loved it. In fact, all American 70's/ 80's shows like CHiPs and Charlies Angels - I loved them all, and watch them regularly on Sky. (Yes I am sad.....

We were just talking about old programmes in work before I left tonight. The one I remember fondly is Worzel Gummidge, I thought he was cool because he could change his head (I was young and thought he was real), my work colleague told me she was scared of Worzel

I will also shamefully admit that I loved Prisoner Cell Block H.
