Outstanding Server Award

Nancy at V&A--friendly, efficient, attentive, knowledgeable. The perfect Victoria!

Ron S., at CG. Good suggestions, helpful when we couldn't decide on a wine, perfect meal pacing (had a lull created so we could take photos outside).

And, as it is a Disney restaurant: Fabio at Palo (DCL Magic). He knew about all their offerings in great detail. Friendly, helpful, attentive.

He wasn't our server but the Chef TJ.:goodvibes He made us extra meals and was fantastic! We really liked him. Hopefully, we'll get to see him this upcoming trip!:wizard:

Neil at AK Donald's Breakfast. Both Professional and personable! We request to be seated in his area every time.

Tamara at Le Cellier. She was great! She was especially wonderful with my DD5 and at the end of the meal she gave her a magical moment card (I think that's what they are called). My daughter then had to do a little picture for her (luckly I had some paper in my purse) before we left. It was last year when the tip was still included in the DDP, but she was so good we left her an extra tip.

Mark Anthony at Tony's and dang it I can't remember his name but he is an older man at the Concourse Steakhouse.

My shout-outs go to...

Mark at the Liberty Tree Tavern - it was so busy for MNSSHP, but Mark got it done!
Jack at the Crystal Palace - made our anniversary special, even in a room full of kids!
Stephaine at 'Ohana - always busy, but she kept things under calm control. Did not serve too fast, and always there if we needed something.
Lisa at Mama Melrose - it was our first time there, great service.
Cousin Al at the Whispering Canyon Cafe - Great fun!
Barbara at Chef Mickey's - that place is crazy busy, all the time. Great service!

Also ate at Boma for breakfats and LeCellier for dinner. While I can't remember their names, these restaurants have very nice servers.

The only place we encountered in 10 table-service experiences that wasn't quite "Disney-esque" was at the Sci-Fi Dine-In. I remember his name, but will not out him. San Angel Inn was very forgettable, as well.

We had a fabulous server at Coral Reef (July 07). I hate that I cant remember his name. He took the time to give us a lesson in wine ettiquete(sp). How to choose a wine, how to present a wine, how to taste and how the server is to pour- we throughly enjoyed this meal. I had been apprehensive because CR had gotten so many mixed reviews before our trip but we stuck it out and were very happy. The food was good and the service was excellent.

This past Sept we had an EXCELLENT server at LTT. He was constantly on top of things & very personable. Unfortunately I can't remember his name. We had the dining plan which included the tip last year, but he was so good we gave him an extra tip on top of that. Overall, I think the majority of servers were good wherever we ate.

Ron at California Grill.

I went to CG three times in the course of 16 days in Aug/Sept 07. I had Ron the 2nd visit and requested him on the 3rd. He was very attentive, had a perfect sense of timing to allow us to view Wishes from our window table. When there was no tea menu to be found he took the tea off the bill for the inconvenience.

Patrick at Le Cellier

Patrick was fantastic. Joked with us because are from Ontario, same as him. His suggestions were spot on. We left him an awesome tip and my dad left him a business card LOL and told him he might just have a potential career in sales.

Last October we had an awesome server at WCC. My DD was NOT in the mood for a sit-down dinner and our server was so nice. She made it a fun meal and we really appreciated that!

Angela at Kona Cafe. The very best waiter I had at WDW and possibly here at home. She was so fun and friendly and she joked around a lot. She made some great dining suggestions. I was sharing that meal with my mother and she told the cooks to split it up into two plates.

She was great!

No contest - Billy at California Grill. He is by far the finest server I have ever encountered anywhere. Knowledgeable about both the food and the wine list, willing to take the time to educate the diner without making you feel like a dummy, attentive, gracious and personable. The best!!!!!!

We had Billy december 06. He was great. Knew his wine which was a big help - we all love wine but don't always know what to pair. He suggested a great Pinot Noir to go with of all things a fish dish.

At dessert, one in our party ordered the bananas and butterscotch buzz and Billy was trying to sell him on port to go with it. He passed because he didn't want a whole glass, and Billy pours him a little taste anway. Billy was declared to be his "new best friend".

Justin from Ontario Le Cellier saved my bum one year when I left a camera bag behind. (with media with pictures on it). Instead of to central lost and found, he kept it at the restaurant thinking I'd return for it (which I did).

On Sunday, I gave DD14 a "Mommy and Me" trip to Disney for her birthday. I asked where she wanted to eat. Her response: "Le Cellier, of course, Patrick was soooooooo good 2 years ago." Fingers crossed that he is working on August 17th. ;)

our server at CR was AWESOME!!!!

If i ever see him again,,,,,I am REQUESTING him!!!!!!!

not only was he great & attentive, but he was funny & had a great FUN spirited attitude !!!

he made our meal so pleasurable!!

Tony tops our list too, and I also stopped the manager to tell him as we left!! We did not have bad service our whole trip, but we had a few that stood out to us (one Mousekeeper too...hope you don't mind the indulgence!). Here is an excerpt from a letter I sent to Disney after our trip...

"... we would like to bring to your attention some people who really went above and beyond for us and made our trip even more fantastic.

Fenelita (Mousekeeper, Yacht Club) - What a wonderful lady. Each day, we came back from the parks to a new towel animal or arrangement of stuffed animals. We were all thrilled. Fenelita even saw us in the hallway, introduced herself and from that point on, every time she saw us she addressed us by name, asking how our day had been. What a gem she is!

Tony (Server, Coral Reef) - We dined at the Coral Reef on Monday, 7/30 for dinner. Our server was Tony ...and what a terrific server he is! He made wonderful suggestions to us of some of his favorites and never steered us wrong. When we inquired about the Pirates Punch for our son, who has Diabetes, he tracked down the ingredients list for both the lemonade and the syrup to confirm that is was low in sugar. He made our daughter's day by presenting her with a Tink pin when he saw that her lanyard was covered with Tink. He even taught us the way to eat the Jack Daniel's mousse to get all the layers of flavor in one bite. It is very clear how much Tony enjoys making your guest's dining experience a good one. We'd come back just for him.

Gary (Server, Kona Cafe) - Gary was so enthusiastic about the food and coffee at Kona, he really made dining there a great experience. He took lots of time to explain the options to us and made sure the children had choices they would like. He even went as far as to get Mickey waffles from Ohana's for our son instead of pancakes. To top it off, the children were so enthralled with the whipped cream on their hot chocolate that Gary brought them and extra bowl of it so they could add more whenever they wanted. He had such a happy demeanor, it rubbed off on all of us and left us smiling all morning.

Dallas (Server, HoopDeeDoo Revue) - You can tell by first glance that Dallas loves what he does. He was friendly and enthusiastic when he introduced himself and that continued all night. We loved watching him participate in the show - he told us he loves doing it, which was obvious. We really appreciated the little things he did for us. For instance, our daughter was cold in the air conditioning and he noticed it and brought out a tablecloth to wrap around her, allowing her to enjoy the rest of the show in comfort. "

I hope that our input got to the right folks to make a difference. I also hope they might see the input here!

Shellie at Jiko, hands downs. She's the best server that both my friend and I have ever had, and he's a huge foodie, so he's weird about service. We had her for the first time in 2005, and stayed in touch. She's done things for us that weren't offered on the menu, such as appetizer and dessert samplers, and wine pairings. I requested her again on our last visit and she noticed that I was wearing black pants and brought out a black napkin for me. She is the one that (at least used to) train all of the servers. My dining companion is getting ready to open a fine dining restaurant in Chicago, and was so impressed with her and the way that she trains (she's also a sommelier, so her knowledge of wine is quite impressive), that he plans on having her come and train his staff initially once the restaurant is underway. If anyone is interested in requesting her, she's only works Sunday-Thursday, and be prepared to spend some $$$. She can sell you on anything! :lmao: :rotfl:

Hedda Lettuce (Suzanne, I believe) at Whispering Canyon.....she was a great server, attentive to our table/food/drinks, but also very nice and she made our meal a lot of fun!!

for our last trip in fall of 07, i can honestly say that we had excellent service everywhere we went. i was absolutely amazed!

standouts: TRACEY @ LeCellier - she was outstanding! she paid close attention to the needs of our children as well.

at AK, there was a woman working near the information boards. i am SO bummed that i forgot her name, but we chatted for the longest time and i truly enjoyed our conversation. she and her DH both work at AK - the park that closes the earliest - and love what they do.

and (best for last) we met a CM working at the judge's tent. he was SO incredibly helpful with our photopass photos. we ended up talking to him for nearly 45minutes! he had some funny stories for us about park experiences and illuminations. he was SO great - i really wish i remembered his name...

Our absolute BEST service was at the CG. When we arrived, they gave us our buzzer and sent us up to the bar area.....quite a few other parties came and went and the bartender got a little upset and said he was going to find out why we hadn't been seated yet.....

.....come to find out, our buzzer was broken. The bartender took it over and showed it to the host....we were seated at once.

Every one was super apologetic and our servers were incredible! We were there for my hubby's birthday and our table was set up for a celabration!

Our servers(can't remember their names for the life of me) worked in perfect tandum with their tables and everyone around us seemed to be as happy as we were! The food was incredible and so was the atmophere...what really made the night though, were the employees of the place! :woohoo:

Patrick at LeCellier was really great!

Josh at Wolfgang Puck Cafe was really outstanding- he could not have been better. We gave him extra and made it a point to tell the Manager.
