Does disney normally take it out on the day it's due?

The reason i'm asking is because on my last trip my bank blocked the payment. This time I wanted to make sure if this is going to happen again that I catch it pretty quickly and get it unblocked.

My bank are useless and basically say they can't do a thing and I've just got to wait and see what happens this time.

Disney will take the balance anything up to 7 days after the due date. To be honest, I usually wait for a couple of working days after the balance due date, then phone Disney myself and pay it by debit/credit card (this seems to prompt them if the payment hasn't been requested by them yet).

My balance was due on Friday and i rang them on Monday to confirm it was taken and it was then they sent me an email confirming this.

Thanks for your replies :thumbsup2 Think I will give it a few days and if the money still hasn't moved I'll ring them then.

We paid the deposit on our credit card - I was a bit worried that as the balance was due on a bank holiday (both for France and the UK) that the remaining balance wouldn't be taken until after the bank holiday - but it was debited on the date it said on my confirmation letter.:goodvibes

Mine was due today - nothing has come out yet (just checked again)..i'll check again later and then if nothing over the next 2 days I think i'll ring them. I'm more worried it'll get blocked by my bank again and the booking will get cancelled.

Why don't you ring DLP anyway - might put your mind at rest.:goodvibes I know I was really stressing about the balance being taken so totally understand where you are coming from and hopefully DLP will be able to confirm whether they've tried to take the balance.

I ended up phoning them... couldn't wait it out! :headache:  The guy I spoke to said the money had been requested and it can take up to 48hrs to show up my end... so looks like i'll just have to keep checking. I'll be waiting on that phone call from my bank saying they've blocked it  I know it'll happen it always does..:rolleyes1

Did you try ringing your bank to let them know the payment would be requested by Disney?

I don't blame you - I would have phoned too!

Laura678's suggestion is a good one!:thumbsup2 If you phone your bank to say that you are expecting a debit from DLP it might help?? I know when I rang my credit card they were able to see whether a debit from DLP had been requested.

Have everything crossed for you that this will be the one time that the outstanding balance goes out without a problem!

Yeah I phoned my bank yesterday and they said they can't see anything pending to go out and they also said they can't do anything about it getting blocked until it happens. If it gets blocked they just said I need to phone the fraud department to get the block removed.

I phoned the bank fraud department today to see what they had to say and they said they can't do anything either...I just have to wait it out. If it gets blocked I just need to ring them back.

I thought they might be able to put something on their system if a customer requested it so the payment wouldn't get blocked....but no... they can't do that. It's annoying you can't do anything to stop your own money getting blocked before it does!

Oh Hun! That's completely nuts!:confused3 I do hope it gets sorted for you soon. We had a nightmare last year with DLP not taking our deposit and it really stressed me out; so I feel for you!:goodvibes

They say it's been taken out without no problems this time! .... :faint: ....

First time i've been worried and overly concerned about it being stopped because it always gets stopped......always.......and it's just gone through without any problems. Typical!

Glad it is all sorted and you can stop worrying.:goodvibes

Thanks :thumbsup2 :goodvibes All that :headache: for nothing huh?!

When I realised the remaining balance for our holiday was due to debit on a bank holiday - I was exactly the same - stressed myself out something chronic and then it went smoothly!:goodvibes You can't be too careful when it comes to a holiday with Mickey!:rotfl:
