Outside Vendors & Budget

How does the outside vendors affect your budget. I really want to keep it very close to the minimum. Will I end up spending more by trying to get outside photography and meeting the minimum? Thanks

It really depends on what you want.

If you are an Escape bride, it is DEFINITELY way cheaper to NOT use outside vendors.

My overall budget for EVERYTHING, except our hotel stay and the rehearsal breakfast, was roughly $16,000. Using an outside photographer allowed me to have a dinner reception and a dessert party. I only went $190 over the $10,000 minimum.

If I had used an inside photographer, I still would have kept to my overall $16,000 budget, but I would have had to give up a lot. I would have had to eliminate the dessert party and I would have had to have a brunch reception. Brunch receptions are beautiful, BUT for me personally, because of my spiritual beliefs I needed my ceremony to be at 5 pm, so brunch was not an option.
