We're about 2 weeks away from our trip! :cool1:

My DD (age 2) is a VERY picky eater - and I have a hard time finding much that she'll eat. We're on the DDP so she can share with us, but I'll probably just order her something off the kids menu - that she probably won't eat - sigh. So is it "frowned upon" if I bring in a yogurt, milk, snacks, etc. into the restaurant with us? I just want to have some old stand by's in case she's in one of her picky moods.

Lately, if you can't dip it in syrup it doesn't get eaten! Ha ha ha. Lots of breakfast foods.

TIA!

With your DD age, I wouldn't think it would be an issue. Parents always bring snacks for their children. I really don't think it would be frowned upon. I look at it this way, a happy child is generally a quiet child. And I think the restaurant and other patrons would be happy about that.

I am sure (have seen it reported) that many restaurants won't let you bring in a full meal from outside, but snacks for a toddler will likely not be an issue.

I have brought grapes and yogurt into sci-fi before for my daughter and not a word was said, she was 19 months at the time, she was just a very picky eater and the kids meals cost so much for her to only eat 2 bites.

I don't see much a of an issue when it comes to smaller kids. As long as older kids and adults don't do it, it should be fine. Most restaurant establishments are understanding when it comes to babies or very young children.

Maybe your DD will discover new foods that she loves that you would never think to give her at home? Definitely bring her 'normal' foods that she'll actually eat, but put a few new things on her plate so she can try them. Who knows...she may ADORE something really healthy, and how great would that be for her health as she grows up? Lifelong eating habits are developed at this age. Good luck! :goodvibes

In October we brought our 2 year old juice boxes and snacks, no on cared, as long as you a paying and not distracting others you'll be ok.
