Outside food at Universal

We are taking a last minute trip (as in decided today to leave home on Sunday) My kids are picky eaters and often we pack lunch with us. Can we bring sandwiches to US?? I haven't been in 5 years and I think we did last time but we had a 1 and 3 year old so things may have been enforced a little looser then. Anyone have success packing lunch?

We take the Igloo MaxCold cooler backpack with snacks and waters. No issues.

yes, you can take food into the parks.
a few items are not allowed to be brought into the parks.
(glass bottles/containors, large wheeled coolers are a couple.)

DS6 is gluten free so we often bring a sandwich in our backpack for him. Never had a problem.
