Outrageous!!! Young Woman Banned From Six Flags...

My bra straps and sometimes even the top of my bra will show, depending on what shirt I'm wearing and if it has shifted at all since I put it on and got it situated. I'm 30 and I'm not interested in showing anything off. But sometimes a pink bra might show at the top of a v-neck black shirt; the horror! I guess that I wouldn't be welcome at Six Flags... that's fine, because Six Flags is not particularly fun and it's kind of dirty and meh. I've never had a problem at Disney World, Disneyland, or Busch Gardens. Not gonna apologize for the size of my chest and the fact that I need a larger and therefore more visable bra to contain it (I realize that the girl in the story was wearing a bralette, which is pretty much for the opposite chest situation, but still).

I don't think this was about bra straps showing.

I'll take a see through top over high waisted booty cutter shorts any day of the friggin week! I've seen full on butt cheeks at Disney before.

Ours (Six Flags New England) does enforce the "swimwear only in the water park" part. As we were leaving that section the other day, we heard the employees ask the guys behind us to put on their shirts.

Yes, I've heard attendants say things to other patrons about covering up while leaving the water park, but once past them all bets (and clothing!) are off. Have you actually seen some of the things that people wear at Six Flags NE? My girls, age 10, couldn't get past the attendant in their modest tankini tops, but there are women out there wearing itty-bitty camis or crop tops that seem to pass muster.

I've seen women walking around in "dresses" that are basically very loose crochet with the skimpiest of swimsuits underneath and no employee has said a thing to them.

It's a rule, yes, "enforced" only at the exit of the water park, but really no one gives a rat's rear-end about what people where in the ride section of the park.

By this theory, I'd think a lot of us larger chested females would be wearing turtle necks out in public all the time because at any moment things might just pop out. At any moment the strap to a tank top could fall down and watch out...

No, but wardrobe malfunctions have happened (I work in a high school, and have seen too much.) My guess is she was having a malfunction at the time. Something most likely was not 100% covered. If security had told her her nipple was showing, I'm guessing this woman would have been insulted that he was looking at it.

I have a larger chest and manage to keep myself contained when out in public. It can be done, if one so chooses.

I do too...while wearing tanks and shirts similar to what this person was wearing. So I still don't see the issue. I also figure if Six Flags apologized, they must have felt someone said or did something wrong.

Insulted? probably. Are you suggesting she should have been told to leave because her clothing malfunctioned; as in: momentarily did not work as intended as she entered the park? It was obviously not defective at other points in time as there are photos. She wasn't wearing in pasties.

Ok...When looking at the picture on the first page where she's still wearing the gray shirt, something on the right side of her chest (well, her left, my right) caught my attention. That's just an unfortunate shadow, right?!? The situation was handled poorly, but I can sort of see how there were issues if the shirt created weird shadows or if things temporarily shifted where they shouldn't. If this sort of thing had happened to me when I was younger, I would have been humiliated. I think she handled it well.

The "apology" quoted upthread is a standard generic corporate response to dispose of pesky social media stories.

In a statement to Seventeen.com, Kaitlyn Pitts,
Public Relations Supervisor of Six Flags Great Adventure & Safari and Hurricane Harbor, stated: "We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused this guest. Similar to many public venues, we strive to maintain a family-friendly environment."

There isn't a snowball's chance that Six Flags took this woman's complaint seriously.

I personally like the exaggeration in the post title. She wasn't banned.

Clickbait, of course. ;)

I went to the Six Flags in question today. Mostly to the waterpark, but then popped over to the theme park for a bit to ride the El Toro coaster. There were a few skankily-dressed young women present, as usual. One or two of the older male security guards at the theme park entrance looked like they COULD be dirty old perverts, so who knows?

Yeah. That sounds more like "We're sorry she took it the wrong way."
