For some reason, my outlook express mailbox seems to be "looping"...it repeatedly picks up the same email and lists it numerous times in my mailbox. I called verizon and they first told me I must have a virus, there is no reason for it to be doing that....it must be a bad email......not thier problem...... The emails are normal one I would expect to receive (like my points or my at & t cell phone bill). I ran virus scan and came up clean. Tried restarting the computer, still didn't help. Gave up and shut it down for about a half hour. It seemed fine when I turned it back on. This was a few days ago. It's been fine up til yesterday. It started last night and it is still picking up the same 2 emails!!

Anyone else having this problem with Outlook Express? Any tips on how to get the rest of the email that I should be getting?? Thanks!! :D

I get a couple meials like that every so often. Not many, just one or two every so often. I think the email is not getting unloaded from the ISP servers. Go to your ISP email, on the Net, go into the email section, and see if the email is still there, in the incoming. If so, delete it.

I've had the very same problem before, and that's exactly what it was.

Ah Dan......once more, please.....in English!! I understand basically what you are saying but no idea how to do what you are telling me to do!

I just checked it again. When I click on Send/Receive, it tells me receiving 3 of 5, but it only shows the first 2 emails numerous times. After a few minutes, a box appears telling me that the connection has been terminated.

HELP!!!! :bounce: They won't stop coming!!!!!!!!!!!:earseek:

AQ--here it is in English (I hope ;) ).

This happened to me this morning:

I go to my ISP website (in my case comcast.net) I log in through the website. Rather than just getting on the 'net and clicking my email icon.

I then click on email

All my messages come through this way, and I can delete the offending message (the one causing it to hang)

I hope this helps.

If yours is set up like mine, AQ (Comcast) go to www.comcast.net then go to the Tools in the sidebar. Then to Mail. You may have to sign in and maybe a little setup if you had not been there before (I forget). You then can go to your email account, actually, in essence, where your emails are before you download them to your PC via OE. You can delete there. Also, you need to go to Trash folder (same as Deleted folder on OE) and delete from there.

Take a look at MailWasher program I posted on some days back. Not specifically for this probelm, but it does address it, as it looks at mail before downloading from ISP/
