Outlets

I apologize if I put this in the wrong place!!

In 2002 my parents took my family to WDW. We stayed in a timeshare in Orlando and about 5 minutes away from it there was a huge outlet mall area. They had a old navy, gap, this really cool place (kind of like a TJ Max??)

My husband and I are planning on going to WDW in 2007 and really would like to visit this place again, they had a ton of good deals!

If you have a list of great outlets or if there is a thread already started could someone direct me please?

It sounds like you are talking about Lake Buena Vista Outlets. I can't remember the name of that road but if you come off Disney property through the Downtown Disney Main Entrance and then make a right, you stay on that road about 3 or 4 miles and it will be on the left. The other great outlet is Prime Outlets which is off the same road but just on the other side of I4 from Downtown Disney entrance. Turn left where the Golden Corral is on the corner and follow that road around a couple of curves and you can't miss it. It's right next door to the huge yellow barn that is Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede. Both offer EXCELLENT shopping at great discount prices. We buy 75% of my sons school clothes and shoes from these two locations every summer.

The area you are talking about sounds like it can be the one of two different outlet areas.

There is on International Drive. It was the old Beltz Outlets & Annex area. I think the new name is now Premire. The particular one you are talking about has a TJ Maxx & Ross in it.. The entire north end of International Drive are all outlets, so it is a large area, but not 5 minutes from Disney.

The other is the one lorijm23 is refering to, the Lake Buena Vista outlets. That one is about 5 minutes from Disney, which makes me think this can be the one you are talking about ..... It is like circle with the parking area in the middle. There is an Old Navy & Gap outlet there as well, but no TJ Maxx. There is a large store that sells different name clothing, but not good name brands like TJ Maxx.. you might be thinking of that store. This outlet area is on SR 535 (Apoka-Vineland) heading towards 192.

There is also the other outlet that lorijm23 mentioned near Dixie Stampeed, but that does not have an Old Navy outlet (or one like TJ Maxx). I like this one the best... then the one on International Drive...then the Lake Buena Vista Outlet Mall..... and I am a serious shopper. There have been times where I went for 3/4 days & only did the parks for 1/2 days just to shop I live just 3 hours from there.
