Hi All:
I'd like to get some help. I am a member of the Elks, and we are having our state convention this Summer. It is a weekend that is filled with discussing policy during the day, and socializing with members from other Lodges, in an open quad at night. I'd like to have a toe tapping, singing along with, (occasionally) hiney shaking tunes. My wife is working on some songs, but I'd like to get some other opinions. The crowd is usually mid-30's to mid/late-50's.
So far the ones guaranteed on the list (not in order) are:
3 Little Birds - Marley
Celebration - Kool and the Gang
Girls Just Want To Have Fun - Cyndi
Eye of the Tiger - Survivor
Mountain Music - Alabama
Centerfold - J. Giels Band
In the Air Tonight - Phil Collins
Rock This Town - Stray Cats
Party All the Time - Eddie Murphy
Footloose - Kenny Loggins (god of the movie soundtrack)
Chicken Fried - Zac Brown
Pour Some Sugar On Me - Def
U Can't Touch This - MC Hammer
Piano Man - Billy Joel
Country Roads - John Denver
Ride Wit Me - Nelly
Fly - Sugar Ray
I'm A Believer - Monkees
Walk This Way - Run DMC/Aerosmith
I'm sure I will add some more. The ones I have are about 1hr+. But I'm looking for a 4hr playlist. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thank you.
