Out of points but need more nights?

Help! We have an October trip planned and have 3 rooms, all for 7 nights and ours for 9. We are traveling with family and booked on our points, they have already reimbursed us and now are asking if they could stay the whole 9 nights. Problem is, I've used all 2013 & 2014 points and already did a transfer (didn't transfer enough unfortunately).

The other complication is that we are arriving a day early and staying a day later, so is my only option to rent points and reserve individual nights for them at the beginning and the end and hope MS can link it all together? And how do I do that when I don't control the nights reserved by whomever I rent from? Also, is this a guaranteed nightmare where my family is going to have to be moving around from room to room three different times?

Any suggestions would bd appreciated!

If there is availability, I would shift their reservations to start the same day as yours and then try to add nights at the end either with cash or a rented reservation. Or shift to the end and add the days at the beginning. If you rent a reservation for the EXACT same room, they should not have to move, just make sure the reservations are linked.

First call would be to MS to inquire about availability of cash nights. It would be easiest to book a night or two on cash, if it is available.
