I feel so out of energy. What could I do or eat to pick it up again?
I go to the gym everyday with Sunday being my off day.
What do you guys do when you need that boost?

I eat the foods that help vitamin absorption..usually lethargy can be contributed to being dehydrated (too much caffeine, not enough water) or mineral/vitamins (mostly B6, B12, potassium, magnesium, iron) out of whack..I take a multivitamin everyday (the kids gummy bear types from Sam's Club are great b/c they're 2x a day)....also I rely on fresh fruits/vegetables....

Bananas/cantaloupe/raisins are great for many vitamins
Broccoli, red bell pepper, potatoes (yes, potatoes, but bake one and don't load it down, one pat of butter with salt/pepper)
Beans of any sort have a good deal of nutritional value...

I felt SOO much better after I started eating a banana a day, a handful of raisins and a small baked potato..all for potassium, it is almost impossible to get potassium in vitamins b/c it would have to be liquid and/or highly expensive...so rely on natural sources, just add them back in!!

HTH!!

Are you eating enough in general? If you are feeling zonked all the time, it could be too much working out and too little food - that's def a sign over over-training. Also make sure you are getting enough sleep as well!

When I was training for a marathon I could feel when my iron was low and knew I needed some red meat-usually a burger helped because I am not a huge fan of any other red meat.

It does sound like overtraining to me. But I'd really need to know your workout schedule and your past training history and current goals before I could really say for sure. You could also be coming down with something. Or nutritionally deficient - if you're tired most likely B-vitamins.

High level - always alternate hard days/easy days. Now if you're doing 20 minutes on the elliptical or treadmill at a heart rate less than 140 every day you're most likely not overtraining. Also make sure to spend some time warming up and cooling down. You actually get more fit as your body repairs the damage you cause working out. Also make sure to get plenty of sleep. Make sure its dark, quiet, etc.

As far as nutrition goes you want to eat lots of multicolored foods (and no I dont mean lucky charms - although they're def one of my fav's). Fruits, veggies, meats, lots of different colors on a plate. I'd also recommend at least initially trying a multi. It wont do much damage, and you'll see results in a week or two if thats the problem.

If you have any more specific info let us know.

I've been using the mini Cliff energy bars. The multipack I get has choc chip, brownie, and peanutbutter. My teen grandsons like them too. About 18 in a box for around $9.00.
These small ones give a boost, but only a 100 calories, less sugar, and good protein.

Don't know how old you are or what shape you're in but might 6 days a week be too much! The body needs more than one rest day unless you are a Pro.

When is the last time you have had a complete blood work-up done?
