Out of curiosity, how much did you spend for your wedding?

It's a little hard to come up with a solid price for this, so I wonder what YOU may have paid (don't have to give me an exact$$)

Why don't you call them and ask? They can give you a much better rate than anyone could quote here.

Hi there...

To give you an idea, we are spending around $20,000 (give or take a few) for a custom wedding, for approx 100 guests, reception at the Boardwalk Resort. Saturday Evening Wedding. Included in that amount is the following...

Ceremont at Pavilion
Food
Open bar for 5 hours
Cake
DJ
I am sure I am forgetting some things, forgive me...

Not included in that amount:
Flowers
Photography
Videography
Officiant
Limos
Favors
Etc...
Also, I am sure I forgetting things... With the wedding being 5 1/2 weeks away, I am just driving myself crazy trying to get all the last details squared away.

I am more then happy to help anyway possible! Let me know if you I can be any further assistance.

Jamie

We had a custom wedding with about 35 guests our prices were about the following:

Officiant - $275

Carolyn Allen's - Dress Steaming $60

Photography (Randy Chapman): $3000 (this included all of the prints for our
60 page album as well as proofs, negatives and Randy's time)

Disney $11,000
This included the ceremony at the wedding pavillion, Disney Floral, Rolls Royce rental, Charter bus for transportation of guests to the ceremony and to/from reception, reception at the Living Seas Lounge, 5 hour premium open bar (we did it bill on consumption, not the outrageously priced package!), fruit platters for the cocktail hour, plated dinner (we served a trio of chicken, beef and salmon with mashed potatoes and veggies), wedding cake and caracture artist throughout the reception.

Stepharoonie, have to ask: are you planning on marrying the guy who told you you'd be perfect if you didn't have a daughter? I thought you implied a week or so ago that you had broken up with him?
D

You just finished the custody thing, right? You are broke, right?
We HAD money and we only paid (including wardrobe) $2500.00. This was for the wedding and food at a small reception at my parents house. Flowers, music, champagne,a photographer who came and took family photos after the ceremony, the cake, my dress, the minister-everything. 22 people attended including the bride and groom. It was so much fun!

Are you looking for costs for a custom or an intimate wedding? The difference between the two can be quite huge!

I can tell you exactly what we paid--$300. That's how much we had and we spent every dime of it. For $300 we had a dress, two cakes, punch, sandwiches, service, bouquet, a few flowers and candles, store-bought invitations, and a one night honeymoon + dinner. Needless to say we did not get married at Disney World. :rotfl: But we didn't owe a thing after the "I do's" and we have some precious memories of our "lean years."

Cathy--married 24 years; still getting our money's worth

Actually, I'm asking because a friend is getting married in about a month, and she's paying a little over $20k for their wedding...NOT Disney. We were discussing how "expensive" it was to get married at Disney versus a church wedding and reception elsewhere.

And yes, thank you Shortbun for pointing out that pointless information

I don't think Shortbun was being rude. I think she came to that conclusion based on your previous posts but then again I'm not Shortbun. I just didn't take it the way you did. I think she was just showing you a wedding can be done on a budget. whatever.... :confused3

All told for our wedding we paid about $28,000 - that includes the WP, reception at ADH (76 guests), outside photographer, illuminations dessert party, my dress, floral. That doesn't include our airfare or hotel rooms.
