Out of curiosity, how much did you spend for your wedding?

What is "ADH" and where is it?

ADH is Atlantic Dance Hall. It's located on the BoardWalk. :)

We've stayed at the boardwalk 7 times and gone to Atlantic Dance just as many, but didn't recognize the post. We feel silly!

We spent about $12,000 with Disney for a Sunday night custom with 23 guests and about $3600 to outside vendors.

Great thoughts hear everyone.

Firefly girl, I was just curious how you got MK pics at night? Or is this at your MK photo shoot and the sun is not up yet? I have a MK photo shoot at 6am 2 days after my wedding but to get some pics at the castle at night would be fantastic. Let me know if you can! Thanks

Have A Magical Day!!! :bride:

I know I'm not Kami, but her session was in the AM. Because of daylight savings time, her photo session time began before sunrise, whereas mine, which happened the day after daylight savings time ended, happened right after sunrise. Same time, just different sunrise times for the days.

I don't know when you are planning for your wedding, but you can look online and get a guestimate of when sunrise will be for your MK session day and if it looks like you will have an early sunrise (more likely the closer to summer you get, less likely the farther into autumn you get), then you can ask DPS, via your EM, if you can begin the session earlier, thought that will mean an earlier wake-up for you. Disney cosmo, if being used, will come to your hotel room at approx 4 AM for a 6 AM photo session.

Wow, I feel a little better after reading these posts! I've been feverishly working on a budget (I'm an obsessive planner) and was astounded at the cost (never been married). It seems my budget includes several items no one here has yet included (honeymoon, family dinner the night before the wedding, etc.).

Just out of curiosity, anyone have good "saver" tips? The reason we started planning so early was to get a leg up on the $$$ aspect. Yes, we're the blissful type that believes we're only getting married once and want to go all out for the occasion. So, are there any ways you've saved other than the traditional savings account? Thanks!

I highly recommend the ING option. It is a savings account that you can open up and get (right now ) 3% return. Hey, every penny helps! If you talk to someone how is a member already and they give you a referral, then I think you get $25 for an open bonus.

i spent 39000$ this included photo,video,entertainment, food, floral,hair, makeup
but it doesn't include ticket, vacation, honeymoon, dress, tux rental, steaming

Well, we're not quite complete in the planning...but all told I'm guessing our total will be about $6000.

That includes everything Disney provides with the Intimate ceremony (no guests), our wedding clothes (a hawaiian shirt for him and a hawaiian print dress for me), rings, air-fare, and kenneling the dogs! :rotfl:

But, we're not having the typical family wedding either...from what I've read, the average wedding costs anywhere from $10,000 to $20,000 anyway and that's WITHOUTH the Disney magic...

Im not getting married in disney (honeymooning there) and right now without our honeymoon we are spendin about 21,000. That is everything: rings, dress+accessories, hotel room for the night, dinner and drinks for 150 people, church+church musician, photographer, flowers, dj, favors, marriage cert from the state, tux, and all the little things that add up to a lot.

My mom is shelling out for the rehersal dinner, and our honeymoon will be partially paid for from some of the "wedding" gift from his folks.

Weddings are quite expensive, even in-expensive ones. Like I said there are so many little things that add up so quickly.

While we didn't get married at WDW, here is our breakdown for the non-Disney priced items for comparison.

Dress: $450 (Insane I think but we were coming in under budget so I splurged a bit here.) at David's Bridal. They did an excellent job, couldn't rave enough about them.

Rings: Wedding Band for DH, 1/4 ct, was $270, Wedding Band for me, 1/5 ct, was $150, and Engagement ring setting (also had 1/5 ct) was $150. (AKA I worked at a jewelry store at the time and got mega discounts.) We didn't have to pay for the stone for the engagement ring though b/c my family has this long tradition of passing down heirloom diamonds so we had a 1/2 ct heart shaped one for me already. DH lucked out there. lol :earboy2:

Tux Rental: $40

Shoes for DH: $120

Shoes for me: $20 :wizard:

Hair: $100 (Including the trial run through and flowers for it each time.)

Invitations: $150 for 90 invitations. (Self made and colorful.)

I probably forgot something here so forgive me for that. :) If I remember I'll post.
