Our WalMart - WOW!!!!

Not only has Willy made the outside of WalMart look new again but the inside is taking on a whole new look also. I had not been in there for, I couldn't believe this, about 2 weeks and boy what I have been missing. Last night dd and I walked in and the Eye Care Center has been totally redone, they are working on doing something with the Pharmacy (there was a wooden room surrounding the area so you couldn't see), they have expanded the Electronics Department and moved all those things around, the bathrooms are getting new stalls (hopefully they will start taking better care of the bathrooms) but the kicker was when we went to go check out - they have redone all of the checkout counters. They have added a total of 8 self-checkout counters which dd was begging me to try but because I never had before I was chicken and I had alot of stuff. Anyway...the checkouts are awesome!!! They have these revolving bag things - there are six bags on one revolving counter thing and as they fill the bags they rotate the thing and you put the bags in your cart. It really was pretty cool. However I had to ask if that was what we were suppose to do.

I know I know....it's the little things!!!!! ROFL

Sounds like the remake one of our Walmarts had....they also added a food section to the store, mostly frozen.

I am looking forward to our Mini-Super Walmart that is to be completed by the end of this year...only 10 minutes from my house, compared to 25 minutes

Walmart has been trying to move into Vancouver Canada but the neighbourhoods vote them out. I'm too far from the nearest Walmart to go regularly. Some of my friends do love Walmart.

Anyway...the checkouts are awesome!!! They have these revolving bag things - there are six bags on one revolving counter thing and as they fill the bags they rotate the thing and you put the bags in your cart.

Be careful with this. I've walked out of Wal-mart more than once without a bag or two because of this system. You start fussing with the credit card and you miss a bag if the clerk isn't paying attention (which most of ours aren't -- no cheerful Wal-Mart greeters in our store).

I've been known to forget a bag or two with those revolving things, too. Lately, the clerks have been paying more attention to it.
