Our UnFORGETtable summer trip! A June TR:Update 10/24 Animal Kingdom!

Wednesday we were up early for a before park breakfast in the castle! This was a first for us. We enjoyed it, and I am glad we did it, but I doubt we'd do it again unless Ellie asked for it.

After breakfast we split up. John and Ben went to ride a few things and then Ben went to the Pirate makeover. Ellie and I walked around, rode a few things, and saw the Steps-they were too funny!

We went back to the room and had a swim, if I remember. Then we had an exciting night planned-which the kids didn't know about!
We were going on a Pirates and Pals Fireworks cruise!!!!
Ben's face make-up came off but he put all the other stuff on. It proved to provide some serious character interaction because Captain Hook chased him all around trying to get the stuff away from him. It was fantastic! Then, when we were leaving to go to the boats, the little girl they picked wouldn't take the flag so they asked Ellie. She gladly took it!!

This was, by far, one of the best things we have done at Disney. It is expensive though. But, I would recommend it hands down to anyone to do at least once. I don't have any pictures of the fireworks because I was caught up in the moment of seeing them from the water. It was truly magical!

Thursday was our last full day but it was busy one. First up was a breakfast at 'Ohana. We enjoyed the meal! Then we headed to Epcot to do a KP mission and some Innoventions. I don't seem to have many pictures of that!

After some time in Epcot we went back to OKW. We did some cleaning and packing up. Then I went over to Goods to Go to wait for MeMom, Jill, and gang. They got held up by some boat mishaps coming from DTD. Then, right when they got there, the sky opened up. We ran into the gift shop and then Cheena and her family got there as well. It was a great meet but too short for me. John and the kids came over shortly because we had an ADR at Olivia's.

After dinner, we went swimming again, visited Community Hall, and packed up the car. We had a breakfast ADR at 1900 PF but I canceled it. We were fooded out. Instead, we decided to head into MK, have a glorious cinnamon roll from the Bakery, and then head home. On our way in we saw MeMom and Jill hustling to their 1900 PF breakfast.

We were on the road before 9 and made it home less than 12 hours later to a house full of family in for the weekend. It actually made going home easier because I was so looking forward to seeing them!


I think I may do a picture only Christmas report. Nowhere near as many days to cover so perhaps I can finish it in a more timely manner!

Then I went over to Goods to Go to wait for MeMom, Jill, and gang. They got held up by some boat mishaps coming from DTD. Then, right when they got there, the sky opened up. We ran into the gift shop and then Cheena and her family got there as well. It was a great meet but too short for me.

On our way in we saw MeMom and Jill hustling to their 1900 PF breakfast.

It's purple dog! Who later turned into a snake.

I forgot that we saw you again. It was on the monorail ramp, wasn't it?

Next time we meet, we'll leave like waaay earlier, in case the boat captain is out to thwart our plans again.

When we did our Wishes cruise we had the Pirates cruise right next to us, they were having way too much fun! I'm sure if you are on the boat, it's great, but being parked next to their excessive noise was a little bothersome....... They did quiet down during the actual fireworks though

They do have a fun time with it. We saw our pirate over Christmas in the MK. He was the fire chief. The other pirate also stars in The Hoop Dee Doo show

Great report!!! The 'Ohana breakfast pictures are adorable. Great makeup at the Pirates League too - and the Pirate fireworks cruise sounds awesome. I'll have to keep that one in mind for when Henry is older.

Looks like a very, very magical trip. I'd love to see the Christmas one too!
