Our un-magical Day

The OP joined the DIS in 2009 and this is her 2nd post:confused3

This is either a bogus screen name of a poster who enjoys posting this type of thing or the OP, if genuine, didn't do any homework before her visit. And this would be Disney's fault how????

Agreed. My first thought was this poster was a troll but the joining in 2009 did throw me somewhat.

Either way if this is a true and accurate post I feel that the OP had unreasonable expectations, most of which could have been avoided had the OP done some research prior to the trip.

Wow sounds like you will be better prepared for your next trip. One tip is its not MGM studios anymore. Its now called hollywood studios.

All of these changes have been in place for a while. Just some stuff is being enforced more then before. Sorry you didnt find out sooner. You really cant blame disney for it. The FP info has been discussed for a long time.

I hope your upcoming trips will go more smoothly. Since your a member of the boards take advantage of all the knowledge on here and start planning now.

I'm sorry OP's kids were disappointed. That really sucks. Part of why I did so much planning before going was to be sure that we were able to do the things that meant the most to my trio of Princesses. A lot OP's issues could have been solved by even a small amount of research prior to departure.

Wow, as upset as I am with Disney right now with all the changes made, this complete 'book' is way over the top.

How are most of your complaints anyone's fault but your own? You really sound so entitled! :confused3 Also, so demanding. I would expect it wouldn't be too easy being around you every day. :sad2:

This has got to be a joke, right? No one who has access to the internet should be so completely unprepared for a trip to WDW.
And the mindset that their little "princess" should have a better experience than all the other thousands of princesses in MK on any given day is preposterous.
I won't even mention the trying to walk up and get a table for 6 at BOG and/or Crystal Palace......

One of the more thorough troll post I have seen. Obviously much research was done by the OP to compose a story that hit on so many of the DIS boards hot topics. Bravo, very well done.

Yes. This. Wonder what the OP didn't get done in an effort to make such a wonderful troll post.

There is ZERO chance this post is for real. At least I sure hope it isn't. Who goes somewhere without checking the prices of parking??? Makes no sense.

I think someone is bored today. :confused3

As I was reading through the OP I really did think this was a joke but scarily i do believe someone has managed to make themselves have the most un magical day possible by their own self important attitude. I'd hate to meet them on a park day, it would certainly dampen my day, listening to all that complaining

Agreed. Bravo. :coffee: (It isn't real, is it??)

But I do have to send kudos to all the members who diplomatically tried to offer real (and good) advice. :wave2:

A big shout out to Maggie'sMom (who must have the patience of a saint) for responding with such a thorough, well meaning post. :goodvibes

I agree it's got to be a joke. No one puts that many adjectives in front of their kids' names. But then again, I initially thought the guy complaining about tangled wires behind the furniture and men wearing suits at the Yacht Club was a joke, too.

She forgot to add that a ride was closed for refurb and she should have been called directly by Disney before her trip to inform her.

I have no words...
Except, any true Disney fan knows WDW is the "most magical place on Earth"! Disneyland is "the happiest place on Earth"! Lol!!

Ok, so nearly all of OP's complaints can be summed up with "I chose to have children, so now I expect the whole world to revolve around accommodating them so that my life will be easier".

Seriously. I know large families including mine who go to disney and plan properly and have great trips.

I have 8 children now and we can make it to a dinner reservation on time. Another good tip would be for the OP to start using a carrier for baby that way you have your hands free for your 2 yr old or wear her too.

Oh I think this is complete tongue in cheek...EVERY little change that has happened at Disney has been mentioned down to the drained moat. I am sure she is kidding about being a travel agent as well..no way no how...
