Hello....We had a wonderful time right in-between the hurricanes. We stayed at the Hard Rock for a week. They (believe it or not) downgraded our room and put us in a small room which was not very comfortable for the 5 of us. But I did write a letter and got a free night for our next visit and a free upgrade to a queen room for the rest of the stay... The parks there were great with front of the line access. We went to Sea world one day which was fun..and out to the Gulf coast to Caladesi Island for a day trip which was beautiful. Then the second week we went to Disney and stayed at the Poly which was super. The concierge service was good. We had the pay for 4 and get 7 night deal so it was worth it. But I don't know if I would stay concierge again. But the Poly is my all time favorite. The parks were not crowded. We went to non EE pays to avoid the crowds and it worked. The lines were manageable using fast pass. We did Chef Mickey's which was fun, the Kona Cafe for my DDs birthday which was GREAT....Love their deserts.... Went to Hollywood and Vine for the Fantasmic package which had ok food...The weather was very good considering the time of year..Not much rain but very hot. Our trip was from August 17th to the 30th. Now school has started and it is back to work...This had to be one of our best trips to Disney...Not one of us wanted to come home even after 2 weeks....

We were there during the time you were and I agree the weather was great! I came home on the 28th and it was soooo humid here (Boston) worse than any day we had during our vacation...Go figure! But talk about timing it after Charley and before Frances!!!
The HRH gave us a free night (see my report under WDW and IOA/US trip report day 1) and we had a beautiful room and no other problems. I think they still had folks staying with them because of Hurricane Charley which may be why you had some issues.
Did you enjoy the hotel otherwise?

Great report ~ Thanx for sharing.

We did enjoy ourselves when we were out of the room. It was very tight in the AM getting ready...Had dinner at the HRC one night which was great. I just love the atmosphere there. Another night we ate at Tchop chop at the RP and it was the best meal we had. at US. Went to Margarettaville it was super..Wish I was still there...having a drink on the outside deck listening to music...Hopefully next summer...::yes::

We will be in Orlando one night before we head for the beach next month. We want to get there when it opens so we can leave for Tampa by 3:00. Will we have time too see all the important parts of the park like Shamu and the dolphin show???

We are going on a Friday???? How much time did you spend there????? Thanks for any tips!:fish: :fish: :fish:

I would say yes...We saw everything but the firework show and were there between 10am and 7pm. So you could see most of the park in 6 hours...Just pick up a map in the front of the park for the times of the shows...
