We had an amazing time! Thanks so much to many of you on here for answering questions! Two of our 3 days Disneyland hit capacity... and we didn’t care! Of course we noticed the people but it really didn’t hinder our days at all. With a good plan in place we really felt we got the Disney Magic.
Day 1 was wednesday. DL actually offered magic morning everyday this week- but I took a chance on the Wednesday hoping not very many others noticed and my gamble paid off! We rode star tours and buzz- 1st in line for both! Used max pass to book RSR, played in fantasy land, took some castle pictures and headed to DCA.
We maxpassed the crap out of our days. So I don’t understand the whole having to wait 30 minutes or 90 or whatever. I just paid attention to when it told me I could pull another. Sometimes it was an hour or more and sometimes it was 5 minutes. Everyday of our trip I would have 2-3 fast passes lined up at once.
We were in DCA when the power went out in DL so that didn’t effect us.
We knew crowds would be busy so to see characters we did 3 character meals and they will were all great! Ariel’s, surfs up, and plaza inn.
Speaking of Plaza- we purposefully made the reservation for 7am on a day we didn’t do magic morning. This worked great! We were first in so we ate, got to see characters first, booked a maxpass while eating and were out the door having seen all the characters and ate by 8am AND having already started maxpassing for the day.
All of our days we did so much by noon before it got crazy. It was great! Maxpass is worth the cost. Don’t even question it- buy it.
We used rider switch quite a bit too and our return times were always right away.
We also figured out that only one of us needs the fastpass when switching. This helped us book fast passes a bit more frequently too if we did a ride our kiddo couldn’t do right after one they could...
We did the blue bayou fantasmic with our young kids and enjoyed it and were first in line due to some dumb luck of just where we decided to wait for the line to start so we were front and center for fantasmic... which was awesome. Also did WOC dessert party second show alone (Christmas present from hubby). They only offered the speciality alcoholic drinks to me. I asked about the getting the kids one but was told no.. bummer! But the show was amazing.
Humm any other tips? Oh yeah- use your park tickets for scanning in. The phones always had trouble. I put mine and my sons in a lanyard eiheach back facing out. Made scanning easy.
Our last day was legoland and if you do go there during a busy time cough up the cash for a reserve and ride. They have to be booked I advance but. Helped a ton with our day
I think that’s all I
Got for now!
