Day 6 3/3
Today is a sleep in morning, YEA!!! We get up, take our time, wander over to the food court for breakfast, and catch the 10am boat to DTD. The boys (including DH) are so excited today, today is Disney Quest Day, the day they have been waiting for the ENTIRE trip, the day of unlimited virtual reality games, arcade games, just games, games, games! I, on the other hand, could have spent the whole day at the resort, but its a family vacation, so we do this as a family.
We get to DTD at 10:30, and it is deserted. I had read that you should be there by 10:30 to get in line, well that was a joke. There was no-one, and I mean no-one there. So we wandered around DTD until 11:30, and still no one there. We were the first ones to walk into the place. W could have easily caught the 11am boat, and still been the first ones in the door.
We head into DQ and I think we had the whole place to ourselves for a while. The kids and DH were in their glory, I on the other hand, wasnt feeling so hot. Even after the Dramamine and Tums, my tummy was refusing to go on anything. So I left the group, wandered around DQ, headed outside for a bit of fresh air, just anything to calm my stomach. We had lunch at DQ, which was very good. Felt a little better after lunch, so played some of the old arcade games, the ones I grew up with (Frogger, pac-man, centipede, etc), which was a lot of fun. DH and the kids had a blast, and next thing I knew it was 4:30. Its amazing how fast time went when we were there. I now had to drag the kids (and DH) out of there kicking because we had PSs for the 7:15 HDDR, and I wasnt sure how long it would take Disney transportation to get us there.
We arrived at Ft. Wilderness at 5:30, and take the bus to Pioneer Hall. We have 1 ½ hours to kill before the show so we take the boat over to Wilderness Lodge to take a look. All I can say is OMG, the resort is beautiful!!! I think my jaw dropped open when we walked into the lobby. I told DH that if I can get a decent rate, I want to stay there for our Oct trip. So Im keeping my fingers crossed that good codes come out for Oct.
We head back to Ft. Wilderness, check in for HDDR, and get our picture taken. The show is really good, very entertaining, and the food was good as well. Some of the jokes went right over my YDSs head, but ODS got just about every one. They were asking whose birthday it was, and DH wanted me to raise my hand, but that was a no-go. Sorry, my B-day was 2 days ago, and at my age I only celebrate/admit its my birthday for 1 day. Had a wonderful time at HDDR, and would do it again, but maybe not in Oct.
Catch the bus back to POR, and call it a night.
The not so good if you ask DH and the kids its having to leave DQ so early, like 5 hours of games isnt enough??
The great HDDR, and getting to see the Wilderness Lodge
Tomorrow Ecpot
