Thanksgiving day
We decided early on to stay away from the more congested parks today, and we did Animal Kingdom instead.
We arrived at 9:00, got in, got the wheelchair, and headed straight back to the Safari ride. Rode it, loved it, talked to sister on the cell phone while riding it, held up the phone so she could hear the spiel
, and fought with the camera while on it. Dratted camera! Hopefully the pictures here will turn out great too. We then did FOTLK, loved the show. Another great production!
I've turned into my Mom by now. I love the shows as much as the rides now.
We headed to Dinosaur to get FPs. However, the ride was down, and the kids' annual passes finally would'nt let us use them. We'd had problem for several days, and so we headed back to the entrance, replaced the passes, then went into RFC for our lunch. We were about 20 minutes early, but they seated us right away! had a great, and great BIG lunch.
Note to self: bring more friends to eat with next time!
Then tried the gate back in, those new passes still didn't work right, back to Customer Relations to get another pair. Sheesh!
We then headed to Dinosaur to try our luck at the Stand by line. However, as we approached some VERY NICE gentleman sprinkled us with some pixie dust. He stopped us, asked if we had FPs, and when he found out we had none, gave us five, good for right then!
Yeah! Nice Thanksgiving touch. We rode it and bumped right along.
We then did Primeevil Whirl (yes I spelled it correctly) while holding hip away from divider bar (DH wouldn't even ride this one, gets sick on these types).
We walked around to Asia while looking at the construction for Everest, and let the kids ride Kali River Rapids. Neither DH nor I cared to get that wet while in the park, so we let the kids get drowned.
We did the Asian trail, got pics of the tigers, and tried to do Flights of Wonder, however, it had closed early, so we walked through a few shops and stalls, then returned to the resort. We ate supper at the Pepper Market then let the kids swim in the quiet pool for about 30 minutes, while Mom stayed warm in the room.
