We're telling our kids about their surprise trip on Monday! I'm so excited!
We booked a room only trip at the end of March, and changed over to the free dining promotion in April. All of this time, the kids have had NO idea that we are going to WDW in September. It is going to be a huge surprise. They've also have not flown since they were infants, so this will be their first real flight.
On Monday we are going to take them to the airport for a "field trip" to watch the airplanes take off and land. Since we haven't flown anywhere, they haven't been to an airport since dd was 6 months old. It'll be a place of interest to them, and we want them to see what an airport is like before their trip. We're going to explore and have lunch. After lunch, I'm going to pull 2 candy bars out of my purse and hand a candy bar to each child. Inside the candy bar will be a wrapper that says:
>>Here is a mystery to figure out.
How would you like to be SOARIN in September?
Maybe POP into a big EXPEDITION?
You might be in store for a MAGICAL experience, where WISHES come true and the night is FANTASMIC.
Breakfast might have you in STITCHES.
You could find yourself flying SOUTHWEST.
Have you solved the mystery yet? >>
They will solve the mystery before they finish reading their wrappers. They will be both shocked and very happy! : )
I can't wait to tell them, and to share all of the little details about the trip!
