Thursday 23rd July. day 2.

I was up and about at 8am this morning (Si doesn't believe in getting up early on holiday, DLP or not!! ;)), the other 2 members of my lovely family were not in a rush to get up :confused3, so I go to grabbed a coffee and bite to eat on my own! I had a croissant (or 2!) and a coffee, then went into the shop for a pin badge and autograph book for my little princess. When I got back E and S were up and about and eating nutrigrains from the snack bag for breakfast. We were out the door at 9.15am, as we started wlaking past Cheyenne, the rain started again. Evie's coat was still drenched from yesterday so Si ran to Cheyenne gift shop for a ponch for E.

After that short break we headed to WDS and saw the Goodmorning WDS parade.

We attempred to meet some characters but is somewhat of a scrum:scared1:! So after Evie has met "Tic" we headed into Playhouse Disney Live. Evie loved every second of this, even the pre show. She danced throughout and was spellbound. I won't spoil it for those of you who haven;t seen it, but it is a lovely show. Evie was desperate to go on the carpets so this was the next stop.

We walked over to DL Park next and take a slow wander through the park and to Auberge for lunch. I wasn't sure what to expect from this lunch, we only really chose it as we had premium vouchers, it's v expensive!! As we entered we were really impressed by the interior, it also had a lovely sense of calm :cloud9:which is a lovely contrast to the parks! We were seated and bought a drink each, all incuded in the price I think. Then Evie went to meet Cinderella in the entrance which was very special, Evie was entranced. During dinner we meet Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Suzy and Perla, and the Princes, they were all very sweet with Evie and spent a while chatting with us.

The food was super delicious, we really enjoyed it. Overall, we thought this meal was excellent; the food was delicious and interaction excellent. It was not busy at all and we enjoyed the peace of this meal. We also bought the photo package which was v pricey, but the photos were actually really lovely, so we treated ourselves! We would eat here again with premium vouchers.

After lunch S and E had a go on the carousel then we met Sarah, tony, Taryn and Dan for a ride on IASW, we then had a chat and an icecream in the arcade before saying goodbye. We were all a bit weary so we went back to the hotel for a power nap.

We were back into the park for 6.30 and watched the parade which Evie just loved. Afterwards we headed to the Cowboy Cookout but it was shut much to Simon;s disappointment, this is his favourite CS meal. So tea was at Fuente del oro. Si and I had chicken wings and chips and Evie had the choildren's sausage meal which went down very well., We sat outside and watched the world go by and BTM go round.

We took a ride on the teacups and IASW (of course!!) before catching Mickey's Magical Party which Evie really loved, she loves anything with singing and dancing. I was expecting it to be truly awful but it was actually pretty good (sorry to those of you who hate it!!) There was no way Evie was going to cope waiting for fireworks, so we decided to call it a day!, We bought fudge for the walk home, and wandered back in the rain again!!

Purchases today:
1 autograph book and pen.
1 pin badge, pink mickey head.
1 light up spinner, Mickey's Magical Party merchandise.
Cinderella photo pack.
fudge, chocolate coins, chocolate covered marshmellows.

Gorgeous photos :lovestruc

May I ask what you got in the photo package ? When we were last In Auberge, the setting with Cinderella was not there. Perhaps it is new.

We bought the photo pack a few weeks ago for 25 euros :scared1:. We had one large photo (10 x 8 I think?), 2 photos 6x4 and 4 mini photos (2 portrait shots, 2 landscape). Silly money but how can you resist them ;) Should add they were all the same picture. Like Verity we absolutely loved Auberge.

Great trip report so far Verity-your DD looks sooooo adorable in that rain poncho!!

Chocolate covered marshmallows???? They sound fab!! Where did you find those? :goodvibes

Great second day!!!

The princesses at Auberge are brilliant, when Matilda is a bit older i'm definitely getting the premium vouchers and booking this meal. It's a shame you don't get those photos for free like you do at Cinderella's Royal Table and Royal Akershus at WDW.

You've been away from work for too long, 8am is NOT early :rotfl2: At my house that is a lie in!!!

Superb second day.

Mickey's Magical Party Show is ok, Kacee really enjoyed it but personally it's not one of my favorates, there have been much better show's in DLRP's history. I'd certainly rather watch it than Dance Time with Stitch :lmao:
