Thought I would share our highs and lows with you all ....

We were there from September 18th - 22nd, which covered weekdays and weekend days.

Highs:

The weekdays in the parks .... absolutely quiet and relaxing, especially during the morning, and even more so during EMH. Absolutely perfect.

Our meal at The Blue Lagoon - food and service both excellent.

Getting close to the front of the line for Crush's Coaster at park opening. This is one of my favourites and it was great to get on it without waiting for an hour.

Disney Dreams ... 3 times .... and still makes me cry.

Wandering around to the resorts for a cocktail in the early evening. We tried the Hotel New York and the Sequoia Lodge ... sitting out on the terrace in the wooden chairs watching the sunset over the lake was a wonderful moment.

random encounter with Mickey and friends when we got off the train in Frontierland .... the place was so quiet and we actually had photos with them all instead of the usual disorganised chaos around characters.

Just spending quality time with my DH in one of our favourite places at our own pace - perfect.

LOWS:

The weekend crowds ... obviously expected but such a contrast from the weekdays. We just made use of fastpass and did other things during the afternoons when the ride wait times were just too much.

Once again .... smoking everywhere, even in ride queues  .... although on this trip we actually saw one person smoking in a designated smoking area, we were so amazed that DH took a photo of him !! :thumbsup2

Toilet cleanliness left a lot to be desired ... by the end of the day you really had to select your cubicle with care. Over 4 days I saw only one cleaner in the toilets.

Strange toilet habits .... one family instructed their male child ( aged about 6 ) to pee up against the wall in the outside seating area of Bella Notte restaurant, while other people were sitting there enjoying a drink. :confused3:confused3

No respect for others during Dreams .... adult people standing in front of small children, pushing and shoving, blatant disregard for cast members trying to keep areas free to allow people to pass. We witnessed some shameful behaviour :mad:

Mediocre food in Agrabah ...disappointed with this as we loved it last time.

Has to send main course back in Rainforest as it was stone cold. Once heated up it was lovely though and the desserts were gorgeous.

Phantom Manor was closed :sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1:

Lack of shows, random street entertainment in the Studios etc.

General Comments:

Really happy with RS Transports once again :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Hotel Sejours et Affaires ... ok generally. Funny layout and we didn't realise it was only a sofa bed. But it was cheap so we got what we paid for I guess.

Free buses to park often infrequent and we tended to use the train more than the buses. Train was very quick, frequent and reliable and only 1 euro 60 cents each way.

And that's about it really ... had a great time overall but next time we go it will definitely not involve a weekend as the weekdays were so much better.

Sarah, sounds like you had a very good trip.
Nice to read how quiet it was during weekdays, hope it's like that when we are there (only 8 days to go now :woohoo: )

It seems a few of your lows were down to disrespectful guests rather than DLP, feel sorry for the CMs trying to deal with them.

Was Phantom Manor a scheduled closure or was it closed unexpectedly?

I am not sure. I don't know if they were preparing it for Halloween or just refurbishing. Shame though as it didn't seem the same not going on Phantom Manor :sad2::sad2:

Parents allowing their children to go to the toilet in public! I saw this for the first in the summer at the back of the Art of Animation in the Studios. I couldn't believe some parents think this is acceptable behaviour. It was definitely a low for me also ;)
