Jasmine and I got up at 430am because I knew the ceremony was starting at 5am our time and I really wanted to see Kate on the way to the Abbey! I thought everything about the day was perfect...I did shed a couple of tears thinking of Diana! I adored that woman and I couldn't help but think as a parent how proud she would be on this day! I agree with you the her dress and Pippa's..they looked stunning!
That sounds like a great day...and yes, I too have heard those lines can be crazy long! Hope you're enjoying your weekend!
Wow at getting up at 4.30am! Am glad you caught Kate making her way to the Abbey - I like the way you did not get to see a full view of her dress until she arrived. I woke up at 8am and thought that was early for the weekend! I watched the guests arrive at the Abbey and when I watched the highlights it didn't look like I'd missed much. The coverage started early here as well.
I thought of Diana and how proud she would be of both her sons. I loved both dresses and Kate's evening one as well - they sure looked stunning!
Thank you - I am hoping the low September crowds apply to the meet and greet lines as well! I am enjoying the weekend so far. Zaheer has gone to the countryside with his friends so as soon as I am caught up on here I am going to my mums to watch the football and enjoy her Sunday roast dinner!
I loved the Royal wedding dresses! The lace on Kate's dress was stunning
Your last Magic Kingdom day sounds great. Though, it is sad to think about leaving. I really want to ride Snow White's Scary Adventures, as well, since it will be closing next year.
The dresses were awesome and the lace added to the magic of that dress
Thanks - I know, I'm trying to block it out of my mind but the thought does return on occasions. I want to ride that attraction for the same reason. I also want to ride Dumbo before it changes but if the queue is long I may give it a miss
Yes, I did watch The Wedding... I didn't get up at 5 a.m., though. Set the DVR to record it and watched the next afternoon! I thought Catherine was STUNNING.
On our trip, I'm not sure what all attractions in Fantasyland we'll do... since we won't have any kids with us, I'm sure there are some we can skip, LOL! I'm pretty sure we'll skip Dumbo and IASW. Mickey's Philharmagic is one that is on the DO list. I'd like to see the new Pooh queue... and maybe we should do Snow White's Scary Adventure since it would probably be Helen's only chance to ride it before it closes for good!
Maybe Alice and/or the Mad Hatter will ride the teacups with you, so you won't have to ride alone!
The Fairy Godmother was the very 1st character we met on our 1st family trip to WDW (back in 2007) so she'll always be special to me for that reason!
I thought Catherine was stunning as well
I don't blame you for not getting up at 5am - it wasn't that bad here as the ceremony didn't start until 10ish - I woke up at 8am but watched the highlights afterwards and OH MY the cake had my mouth watering! There was a chocolate biscuit cake made for Prince William. Apparently it is a secret Royal recipe - I want it!
I'm going to judge the Fantasyland rides dependant on the queues. I definitely want to cover the ones where it will be our last chance before changes such as Snow White and Dumbo. The Pooh queue sure looks exciting!
I had not thought of spinning the cup with Alice and/or The Mad Hatter - if they are there will be getting on the ride though am guessing they will choose a family or someone with kids.
Aaw that must be a sweet memory to treasure. As our first day is at AK I don't think we will be able to say that, though I am looking forward to seeing which character we meet first.
phew I'm all caught up, had finally noticed you had a PTR going. I can't believe this is your first trip, you are very prepared and have obviously done a lot of research. This board is great for that, wish I had it before my first trip.
Loving all your plans and your ADRS
Cute Disney shirts you purchased and

for free shipping
yikes on all the airline hassles, but glad it worked out in the end
As for movies, that Alice in Wonderland movie was kinda strange for my tastes, scared the kiddos a bit at parts too.
Am so jealous you get to take such a long vacation, you'll for sure be able to get your list done, can't wait to read more
Hello and

- thank you for coming over and getting caught up!
I am very lucky to have found these boards before our first trip. I love all the information and without it I think I would have just turned up and not really planned thoroughly!
Thank you - I can't wait to eat at the place we have ADRs for!
I love the Disney shirts and was very pleased and excited on the morning I received the free delivery code!
I am also very glad that the airline situation worked out in the end - was panicking at one point but all my dis friends reminded me to remain calm as it would all work out in the end. Another reason I love these boards!
That's what I am expecting of Alice in Wonderland - dark and scary in parts. I hope your kiddos were ok afterwards.
I am looking forward to taking the long break. As the airfare is soo costly it works out better for us to take a long break and fit everything in. I hope to post more soon
I watched the wedding at 5am as well, I really loved her dress. Simple yet so beautiful! It seemed like they really loved each other.
I think your MK day sounds great. The only thing you should know is the Rapunzel M&G line will be Crazzyyyyyy!
You may want to be out of the Crystal Palace before the park "opens" and heading to get in line. We did that and were 3 rd in line. The whole rest of the day the line up to the castle and people were waiting for hours
Wow, another 5am riser!

I think I would have tried to wake up that early if I had to for the wedding but am not sure if I would have been able to!

That's what I liked about the dress - how it was simple but elegant and beautiful. It does seem like they are very much in love - hopefully it will remain that way.
Thank you - I know I'm expecting it to be crazyyyy though we might try and get it done first thing! I'm hoping the low September crowds that I have heard so much about will help.
Unfortunately, we won't be able to do that as our Crystal Palace ressie is after the park has opened - I know getting into MK early is rated highly on these boards but as I have mentioned we are not early risers and I wanted to make sure that we arrived in time for our ADR. My plan is to watch the opening ceremony, run to Space Mountain to get FPs and then go and eat our breakfast! We will just have to grin and bear the line after we arrive in Fantasyland
