Oh no!!! Look at my ticker! It's after midnight and my ticker still says 2 days, but I only have one to go!!!! This is like a nightmare. An episode of the twilight zone, where the crazed computer lady stays up late every night to plan her vacation with her limey DISfriends and then time gets stuck two days out and she never gets to go!!!!!! AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!

I enjoyed my fireworks last night but had some sad news upon returning home. My best friend's mom, who was like a second mom to me, passed away following surgery to treat cancer. She came out of the surgery ok on Sunday, but then had some complications that took her downhill very quickly. So, I will be gone most of the weekend for the services and to be supportive of my BF, who is the only sister I have ever had. My DS and my BF's DS are also BFs and have been looking forward for months to this big concert festival they're going to on Friday, and now this is going to put a huge damper on it as the services for BFDS grandma are on Saturday morning.

I'm so sorry to hear. Take care and we'll keep the porch light on for ya when you get back.

Ok I was headed home after a horrific day at work (worked 14 hours today of crazy busy baby business).

Thought I would alot myself an hour to catch up on the liminess. Drive up to my house and there is a coyote in my front yard. He (not exactly sure of this fact) trots off into the street but stays there. I am unable to get out of my car cause the darned thing wouldn't go away and I was afraid maybe it was hungry or something. I finally decided I was tired of honking my horn (waking up my dh) and decided to try and run it off. Practically had to run over the darn thing to get it to run away. I'm going to call the dow in the am. We have had an outbreak of tulemia here but I don't think it really causes much in the way of symptoms in dogs so I wouldn't suspect it would make a coyote freaky. I'm used to critter problems where we live but this is a first on a coyote stalking. We have a horrific rabbit problem this year and I'm sure that is why he is hanging around here plus there are lots of kittys and puppys too. Well I'm going to have to catch up tomorrow night. I'm sure it will be another late one for me. Don't you all have too much fun.

WOW! That is scary. We have them in my general area too. I know a woman whose small dog was eaten by a coyote a few years ago, and it's not like I live in the wilderness. We live in a fairly well populated area! Glad your ok

The only other thing I can think of beside a sickness is that we are under a flash flood watch as we are having monsoon season in southern colorado. Maybe the rain has got him all cuckoo.

I was out of town for a few days and this thread grew phenomenally. I was able to check in and read, but I swear as I was trying to catch up the number of pages kept growing.
I wanted to comment on cliqueyness and brussel sprouts.
This thread is always so friendly. People who post a little or a lot are treated with kindness, maybe with a side of quirky humor. It really is like a family. I feel so excited for the people on their way to WDW, and I'm in awe that I will be in WDW during the visit of DisUnc and Cynd . I haven't been this excited since Eric Estrada was signing autographs at MGM. ::cop: . So I really don't feel this thread is a clique.
As for the brussel sprouts, I thought someone was going to say what they really taste like. They're like the vegetable equivalent of "pull my finger."
Finally, Hockeymom, did you see Collateral with Tom Cruise? Ever since I saw that, coyotes really creep me out. I'm a bit of a scaredy cat though. We spent the last two days at a rented beach house, and I was afraid to stay alone in the hot tub at night because the dog was looking at the bushes and barking.
