You won't believe how far people drive to go to sesame. Alot of people add a lot of day trips when they come out here though......lots of stuff in philly and even though it is beyond me, the jersey shore(I hate the ocean....and the sand.....and the bugs.....but I LIKE the casinos ).

I've been to the CB boards!!!! Nutin suprises me anymore!
If you are going to do other things....then yes SS is great. But SS aint WDW!

Unfortunately, cliques attract trolls & thread killers galor (humourless, soul-grabbing, non LGMH ingrates)

We had the "man" called on us last night for setting off an elaborate "legal" display of fountains, screamers, etc. by the neighborhood troll. She must have been sleeping the night before when we went to the isolated field & set off our "big boys". Yes, they are banned in our glorious state. Probabaly a good thing, too, or kids would be blowing off body parts, etc.

Think I'll start setting a bottle rocket off over her house every night just for fun.

However, DH was trained as a Fireman/Plumber (what a combo LOL) in the Navy during Vietnam. He knows how to set them off, we distance the kiddos, have buckets of water, etc. Hey, we don't drink (hardly), don't smoke, what do we do!

Show me a person who sez they follow all the rules & I'll show you a liar.

First, I read your personal profile and if I am a grandmother, you are a great grandpa!!!
I have 2 dd's ages 8 and 12. Although I feel like a grandmother some days, other days I think I am still 20. You're right.. old people only say that.....no more negative remarks from me. Yesterday, I was on a neighbors deck watching firecrackers and firworks. They are not allowed at my house since my hubby's the City's firechief and it's against the law in NY. We just enjoy watching other people break the law. Worst yet, I work at the police dept......and I am stealing LGMHPC.

I like Sesame Place. The kids really enjoy it. We have been going there all my life. It really is mostly water rides, although they just added 3 new non water rides(kinda like dumbo types).
We go for about an hour in the morning and leave when it starts to get crowded. If you have any specific questions just ask. I'll do my best to answer them.

My kids are currently 20months and 3 and I have a 9 year old son who will go anywhere. Next year will be perfect time. My kids love water rides. They aren't picky just as long as they are busy. What other types of regular rides do they have? Would my DS9 be able to ride anything? Do they have like character meals? I am always planning a good vacation. Since I quit my job and stay home with the kids I have to do something to keep me from going crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Teresa

No, it didn't mention us specifically, but it said any thread
-that has the same group of people posting back and forth
- people address each other(duh, don't most people say hi and goodbye??)
-confuses new posters-but we confuse all of us so I don't know if that applies
IS considered a clique.

I read it hoping that they didn't mention us specifically.....I really didn't want to have to reply to that and get flamed.(and I so would have risked that flaming.....I would have had to change my name......I would have came back and told everyone that I worked for Lowe's.....I shudder at the thought!!! )

Sesame has a website....I don't think it really shows you any of the rides though......anyway....(I love those little dots..... )

They have great shows for the little ones....all live. A stage show(the only place you see bigbird in person) they have like a studio show, elmo's world I think, they have an interactive gameshow hosted by Oscar. I think they did away with the bird show(one flew away a few years ago).
They have an entire area devoted to small children(I mean under 3) it has fountains, a few small play areas, and a huge wave pool(maybe 12 inches deep).
They have only a handful of 'older kids' slides. But my kids, DH included, love them. I will admit I go for the lazy river.
They also have a family raft ride, we like it better than TL's one.
Then they have a rollercoaster similar to the barnstormer.
a Teacup ride, and a few other tame spinning dumbo types.

Then there are THE NETS. Your DS9 may love these(either they love or hate, no inbetween). It is 4 stories of cargo nets, all the way at the top are tunnels and swings.They are pretty awesome.

All of this packing talk has me really worried. I'm going to have to pack in secret and I havn't started yet. I'm feeling really behind on this already.

When my mom surprised us she managed to pack right under our noses, inform all of our teachers, and keep a cover for why we were going to the airport. You'll be fine, you have a ton of time now take a deep breath and relax!
