Happy St. Paddy's Day


I had fun yesterday. I got my first set of jewelry to sell done yesterday. It is a belt similar to the one I showed you along with necklace and earrings to match. The stone color is amethyst. Now I just have 3 more sets to do of that. I also played with my new silver jewelry making kit. I made a ring. I still have to fire it (it is still in clay form because I didn't have any butane fluid ) but it is a ring I made for myself. I'll show it to ya'll once I get it done. I figured I had best make myself something first to get the hang of working with the clay before making anything to sell. Good thing I did as I learned in the first try just how delicate the clay is before it is fired I had to start all over but I think I like the second try better I showed my dad the kit I got and he was like "cool, they gave you a really nice set of files" he is really into tools like that He also thought everything else was neat too but the files were his favorite I figured out that a 20 gram package of clay can make 3 to 4 items maybe 5. There are a few other things I want to get for use with this like the stuff to antique it (blackens crevices to make them stand out) and some gold accent (a 24kt gold liquid that can be put on the silver for gold accent), some molding compound to make molds out of, ect......

I will start off selling what I make on ebay and if I am successful with it I may open a website for it. I also plan on doing this for the Renaissance faire. I still need to contact them to see about being a merchant this year. But I have plenty of time. After all the faire isn't till November.
