Poor baby. :grouphug:

Oh thank you Michele - you sure have been thru the ringer with the sick kids!
Its funny about the tonsils - part of me wants them out , so he wont suffer any more (and we have such a fmily history of bad bad tonsils....) But, lordy, would I be a mess during the actual surgery. When the doc mentioned it I got all teary eyed - how silly.

How you?!

And you mARY?!

.....ah, ok ...so I was second - it's the thought that counts!!! :sunny:

How was homecoming?? Is there a dnace too? Boy, did I miss out - our highschool didnt do that sort of thing (no sports....)

Ya know, my school never did it either, but I remember always hearing about it in movies or stuff. I guess I never knew it existed. Of course they cut out a lot of things by the time I got there. They used to have a Miss. (insert high school name) contest. For whatever reason they stopped that. :confused3 They also used to have variety shows, they stopped that too.

Today Brandon's school had soccer games & football games. There was a dance tonight, but he didn't want to go. He went out to dinner with his cousins.

Anyone have a good potato or corn chowder recipe??

I'm supposed to make some tomorrow for this cookout - and cant seem to find a recipe on-line that I'm happy wiht (ofcourse, that owuld be one that makes itsefl!! :) )

It is a bummer when they have surgery. My youngest is started down the tonsils road. Already did the ear tubes and adenoids now his problems have just relocated.

Poor thing just came off the ice wheezing up a storm last night. I felt so bad I didn't give him a puff before practice but that is the first time he has come off wheezing so much. His dad was running his practice and kicking his little hinney into gear so he was sweaty and wheezy. Note to self give puffer if dad is running practice.

last post of the night i think so night everyone

My high school was so sports oriented that seems weird to me. Guess that is partly why I still love sports so much. I was so excited to watch some football today with the kiddos games getting cxld. I love  College football. Got to watch my Alma Matter which is really weird cause they are on TV (Montana State). This is the first time that they've had games on TV. They are on again next weekend. So cool.

Thank you! I've decided to celebrate the fact that for 2 short months, I will be the same age as most of my class!!!!

Ya know what that's a pain now that everyone hits the milestone years before you, but that feeling will stop soon enough. Once you hit 21 it won't matter as much. Of course when I started my current job I was 22. I had to go to training class for 6 mos. There were 2 others in my class under age 25. Well my class was very close & we hung out together alot. Sadly one of the places they liked to go was a 25 & older club. I mean whattheheck :confused3 I was over 21 I could go hang now, what's this over 25 crap?!?!?!?

Now when the other folks are turning 30, 40, etc.... you'll have the enjoyment of watching them suffer first. :rotfl2: :lmao:

Hello out there? I just woke up. STUPID me eh? Now I will have trouble falling asleep for sure. John has been working all day :furious: I mean can't he do enuff of that during the week?? So I was/am still feeling like crap. I made supper but could only manage about 3 mouthfuls and then had to excuse myself to the couch yet again. After about an hour I passed out. Woke up in time to see end of Charlie's Angels (only cause I couldn't find the strenght to change channel)

So I get up and he's GONE errgggg. I track him down... working, working , working.
So fine I says ... you know where I will be :cool1:

Speaking of puffers - my little one cameoff the moon bounce thing and was coughing and coughing ....for about 5-6 minutes ....how to they test a little one for asthma? I would hate for him to have it - eeek. (I'm not cut out for this whole, kids getting sick thing!)

Ok - we're all going on diet and exercise plans tomorrow and getting severla cases of Perell!!!!!

So Sorry. You have a long night ahead. Man what I could do if I could only stay up. I started a cleaning frenzy tonight and my energy is about to go. I am reoganizing all my kitchen cabinets. I did get all my wood and windows done though. If only I could get to the fridge. I have come to the realization that my kids either need to give up activities or I need to work less to keep my house the way I want it. Not very good choices in either respect. So I'm going to get rid of a whole bunch of stuff so I'll have less to try and keep clean.

With Brody they diagnosed him with it because he ended up in the hospital with a cough and low o2 level. His chest xray was clear so it wasn't pneumonia and he got better with the asthma tx so they were happy with that plus I have asthma.

Now with adults they have breathing tests they do but I think with kids it is more based on symptoms and their response to tx since the tests are kind of hard to administer to kids.

The key to tx asthma is starting tx early because if they have a lot of severe attacks it can weaken their lungs and they are more likely to continue to have worsening attacks. Brody takes advair everday which keeps him in really good control unless he is ill. This was his first time after exercise to have problems although I have always had an inhaler in his hockey bag this is the first time he has had to use it.
