I did an initial cost comparison, at 2 nts for 2 adults and 2 kids. Hol. Inn's lowest was 104/nt and Sheratons was 110/nt - so almost the same. I think if we called we could get lower - and Hol. Inn had a place to enter a code...we could probalby find one on the budgets boards!

ok-so very new to this but I fll in love with the green--took me only 2 days (2 long days) to read through all of the pages of this thread. OMG you all are nuts!!! Feels like home. Curious..I'm leaving Sept 30, 2006 for my disneymoon and wondered if anyone from this thread was going to be around..staying at the WL....let me know---feel like I'v known you all my life......

I will be at All Star Movies Sept 29th through October 6th.

I posted this on the HAPPY DANCE board but I don't think many people have seen it.

I have my LGMHPC's all ready to go...here's what I am doing: Putting a dry erase board on our door, and putting my LGMH's on it (with velcro so you can stick it back on) so other Dissers can sign in!

I am also decorating our window. And of course I have my laminated LGMH hanging from my bagallini, with my Dis name on it!

We requested a room in the Toy Story section so if your near there look for us!

I will be on the lookout for other LGMH's around the world!

looks GREAT -that's just the one I was thinking about! It has an indoor pool, is steps away from a pretty good mall, very near a GREAT playground, and very near a fun filled BEAR DEN!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you click the "directions" button on the site you get a map. Once on the map hit the "north" arrow one time - you will see both the park (Hugeanot park- just a green trapezoid on the map..)) and a bold word "Woodmont" - that's my subdivision and pretty much exactly where my house is!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I looked at a few others - but none seem as nice. The "Suites" places seems pretty blah...no pool. The Comfort Inn - only outdoor pool ... a no go in Nov.

I think the only one I'd even consider is the Sheraton:

It seems quite lovely and is right in the same area... It MAY be a bit nicer than the Hol Inn.....and more costly??? See what you guys think.

Ok a couple more pointers. HI has internet acess also and I have never stayed at one where i was charged. Plus all rooms have a microwave and a small fridge. Kids eat free with paying adult. A dance club is located here with happy hour!!!!! Sunday Brunch....
Sher. Bar is open to midnight and restaurant is open to 10:30pm
Both hotels have maid service!!!!!!!! LOL

Hi all. I just got caught up for the last couple of days. DS is now safely ensconced in his dorm. I've had a couple of good cries. DD is mad at DH because we have already gotten rid of DS's bed. It's not as bad as it sounds. My mom just got a brand new bed. She is giving us her previous bed (just 3 y.o. and a pillow top ), so our bed is going to DS's room and his is going to the dump. He'll have lots of room to sleep when he gets back.
One of the things that made me is DS goes back to school after winter break on 1/3, so no DL for him. DD was sad for a few minutes, then brightened and asked if she could bring a friend.
It's our church festival this weekend, so DH and I went dancing last night and we're going back tonight. After all of the excitement and lack of sleep this week, I had a margarita last night but had to throw it out about half way through. I thought it would be unseemly to pass out on the dance floor in the exact place we usually park when we go to church. As soon as we stepped onto the dance floor, what song came on? TEQUILA! DH was afraid I was going to break my neck trying to do the big shoe dance.
Today I won $75 playing cherry bells at the festival. Gotta get back and spend it all on food, drinks, and the silent auction.
See y'all soon (figuratively, since DH and I will be sitting in a mudbath in Calistoga during the Veterans' Day weekend).
