Oh I loved leader of the pack and Billy Don't be a Hero...singing at the top of my lungs......Now Pixie you can tell them that you have the great singing voice and well in mom's own words to me "You can't carry a tune in a breadbasket".. .... remember how dad laughed :rotfl: and I was like :o   Yes it took me until I was 15 to realize I had been making a fool of myself....such a sad tragic story :faint:

OK it's true she's the nicest person in the world...but the nicest thing she could ever do for you, is not sing out loud! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

My Dh is similarly afflicted with the bad voice thing, and loves to sing LOUDLY. And he gets the words wrong. And he sings in the shower. Sometimes I stand outside the bathroom door and laugh at him! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

YUP! Why is he on CFC then? :confused3

Ok the truth probably is he needs the exposure & the money. His answer was his wife is totally hot, but she has to (insert proper termage here) with this (as he sweeps his hand up & down his body).

Happened to catch the show the other day. Erika Eleniak (sp) is on there--she was in Baywatch-- aka one of my brother's biggest fantasies. The younger daughter from family ties was on there too.

It's too funny that you said this. This song came out when I was about 10 years old. So I always just sing along with it and never really thought about it until I heard it again tonight and I was like "OMG, this is so tragic" Of course that was also about the time of "Seasons in the Sun" and a few years later "Billy, Don't be a hero" and I love those songs too! :lmao: :lmao:

And yes I love that Christmas song where the kid buys his mom the shoes for when she meets Jesus!

However, I absolutely hate all those 1950's songs where the teenagers die.

I loved that song Seasons in the Sun. Does anyone remember the song Run Joey Run-- my brother  that song!

Actually a lot of the songs they are singing to are oldies remade. I love amazing my kids when they find a song they like & I know all the words.

I can't actually say I 'remember it'... though I might, but I do know it. Not sure when it came out. I seem to know songs sometimes.. that I've probably never heard if that makes sense. I know songs from like forever old.. I mean older than my mother, and I sing show tunes that I've never seen...lol. It had always baffled my mom cause I've done it since I was a kid.

Daddy please don't, it wasn't his fault he means so much to me....

okay this is for the ladies here...because fellas, you just won't understand... (well, maybe, but i doubt it)

so i went back-to-school clothes shopping today. i seem to have been blessed with this fabolous things called hips (thanks mom!) that are just Slightly disportional to my waist. add on the fact that i'm short and you have a disaster in finding pants that fit.

Tara, you're looking at his backwards. What you should say is, "My waist is disproportionately tiny". Just look at Tinkerbell :tinker: If she wore pants, the waist on them would be gaping, too.

Yep, that's the song. For anyone who doesn't know it, if memory serves me right our late young hero Joey got his gf pregnant & her daddy shot him. The gf is singing the song.

My sil had a song called Telephone Man by someone named Merrilee Weathers or something like that. Has anyone ever heard that, she claimed it was banned in PA.

Hey baby I'm the telephone man
I can put it where you want it
I can put it where I can
I can give it to you with a buzz
I can give it to you with a ring
If you really want I can give it to with a ding a ling a ling.

Dobie & I were on reading all the good things you had to say about us.

He told me to tell you all :thanks: very much for making him seem welcome. This weekend he wants me to take him to HD to get him started. He wants to dye his hair lime & get some cute lime colored clothes. He's also been enjoying all of the banter. Oh and Peace Out to my PEEPS!

Actually he just burped, but it was a really big one so I'm assuming he meant to say all of this. :rotfl:

Gonna have to tear myself away--its already tomorrow & this little monsters feedings come very quickly! Thanks for all of the support! you all! :wave2:

Terry Jacks. Wow. Seasons in the Sun used to freak me out when I was a kid. A lot like that song In The Year 2525

Actually... the GF is not singing it.. though they do have a girl singing the 'daddy please don't" part. It's sung from the BF's perspective. He got her pregnant... daddy had a gun and went looking for him. He went to her house, went to hold her... daddy came Daddy killed his own daughter.

"got in my car and drove like mad 'til I reached Julie's place, She ran to me, with tears in her eyes, and bruises on her face
All at once, I saw him there, sneaking up behind me,
Then Julie yelled, he's got a gun, and she stepped in front of me
Suddenly, a shot rang out, and I saw Julie falling
I ran to her, I held her close, when I looked down, my hands were red,
and heres the last words Julie said ...

daddy please don't.. blah blah....

You didn't love that song too did ya???

lol
