Long story short, Gilda Radner was one of the orignal castmates of Saturday Night Live! She was one of the best comidiennes of our time. Emily Litella was a character she created. Others were Rosanna Rosanna Danna & Lisa Luebner.
Gilda Radner died of Ovarian Cancer.
Her husband at the time was Gene Wilder (original Willie Wonka). He created Gilda's Club for women with/had ovarian cancer, that orginization is still around.

I ended up having to settle for a grilled cheese sandwich since apparently I now have to put labels on my containers of leftovers if I don't want anyone else to get to them

Incident #2....I was in the produce section of Publix grocery store tonight and was shocked to see a little dog in a very large ladies purse in her shopping cart... (once again, big mouth.."shut up Linda, shut up Linda..I can't, I can't...") I said to the owner, " Wow..I didn't know that you could bring a dog into a grocery store!"(that was a lie...I KNOW that you can't bring a dog into a grocery store) and she said, "I don't know, maybe you should ask the manager!!" OK, she got me, I was floored..and wanted to tattle, but I didn't...I did tell the cashier at the front while I checked out, but I am sure that he didn't tell anyone else...

hrh_disney_queen said:Yeah, I thought the second one wasn't as bad as the first...I guess I was still in a mood from the first incident! And reading in the paper about the guy who was caught trying to neuter his own dog (no he was NOT a vet). Neighbors complained about a dog barking a lot, the cops came and he had (cover your eyes here, boys) tied a rubber band around his chihuahua's you-know-what's and God knows what he was about to do next...The cops took the dog away....oy...I normally have low blood pressure, but I can feel it rising....

As for the idiot that left the dog in the car.. If I couldn't get the dog out (and yes, I would have tried).. I would have told Mr. Idiot that the police were already called.

I had an incident once where I found 3 young children all under the age of 4, in a parking lot of the post office in E'Stroudsburg. Windows half opened, the girls (all 3 ) half dressed, crying and jumping around the car.. except for the youngest in a car seat.
Now, I had just left the PO, and from that parking lot there's no place else you could be but inside the PO. I was on line for about 15-20 minutes (a long time for this area).. and I couldn't believe someone left these children for any amount of time at all.. nevermind that long! My dd (then 7) was with me, holding my hand as she required to do anywhere outdoors (other than a park or something like that. Now come on, I'm not THAT over-protective). She STILL comes with me inside a gas station if I have to go in and pay (she's now 9). I will not leave her in the car alone for any amount of time. So you can imagine how FURIOUS I was.
Of course I was on the phone with the police explaining the situation and telling them where I am when the mother-of-the-year comes out strolling like she doesn't have 3 crying kids in the car. Well I went off on her! She said she didn't think it would be so crowded! AHHHH... is she kidding!?? I was actually in tears I was so angry. I didn't shout at her, though I really may have if my dd and her kids weren't right there.
Let me also explain that the parking lot of the PO is along side of the building, with no side entrance. It's in town on a very busy street. It's a large building, there is no view of the parking lot from inside the building at all.. no windows on the side or anything.
She left very quickly, not getting her other 2 girls buckled in or even seated! She knew I was on the phone with the police and wanted to get out of there.
When I got back to the dispatcher on the phone she asked if I'd gotten the license #, and I was so mad, I didn't think to do that. Very stupid of me. The dispatcher was really nice and said she would have been that angry too...
The rant didn't help.. I'm still angry, even after 2 years. Grrrr!
