Here's something to make you laugh! Both the cubs are asleep and DH says "I need to go take a shower..." , and coinsidentally, so do I. SOoooo....I say "we could take one together!!!" (Using my best Mae West too.) So, what does he say to this grrrreat offer? "Ok, well you use the bathroom here and I'll use the one down by the boys room."

We stayed a CR once for a few nights, in the North Garden wing, and by total luck had a beautiful view of the castle. The first room they had assigned us was a loooonnnnggggg walk from the tower and when we opened the door someone else's stuff was still in the room so they switched us to a fantastic room with the castle view! We were on the first floor, so could sit on the patio to watch the fireworks. It was tough to go to sleep that first night because I kept getting up to look out the window and watch the castle change colors!

Are you from Texas??? I used to live there & all my friends up here in canukville still laugh at me & how my accent changes & how I never leave my Southern roots behind.

I've lived my entire life in upstate NY! But let me tell ya when I spend just a weekend in the south, I pick up that wonderful southern accent right away and it takes weeks to leave it behinf. LizzY went to Washington for a conference about 1 year ago and met alot of people from the south. She still uses y'all in her day to day conversation!

Weird, huh? Oh wait you live in Canada I meant to say weird, eh?

Does anyone else here give blood? Can you give if you have a head cold? I'm not sure anymore.

I give blood. I think you should be ok. Probably depends onwhat medication you're taking. I wouldn't be surprised if the red cross web site lists the prohibited meds.

Hope everyone had a good rest! It's supposed to be another pretty day here - hmm...what to do?! Once my older cub wakes up we'll have to think of something good.

Mr. Oakie, I know last time I tried to give with a cold they said I couldn't if I was in the first 48 hours of symptoms (which I was..) because no one could be sure it wouldnt turn into the flu....if it had been longer than that and there was no fever then I could... Good lcuk wiht the cold - at least it's now not in one week!!! (You must be SO excited!)

I don't know what the kids were expecting.... but the looks on their faces when they realized that there were rocks, dirt AND FISH!!!

That sounds like a perfect day to me!!! We did that all the time in college - some of the best times ever!! When my 3 yo is able to swim we'll be good to go!!

Depending on how the older ones eye looks when he gets up we might try the river today....just to play/wade in.

I don't normally take any medications (except vitamins), unless its a really bad cold, then I head to the doctor. no drugs in me except caffiene
