We will slather everyone up before we get on the plane (supposed to be on 1/2 hour before you go outside anyway right?) then we are set to go as soon as we hop off the plane. There are lots out there that last for at least 8 hours Bringing a stick of the screen for faces/noses found out last year it works great.

I bring the SPF stick in my park bag, too, but I just have to take this moment to endorse Coppertone continuous spray 50 SPF (the kids kind). It is awesome! We'd spray everyone down in the morning before hitting the parks (it dries super fast so you can get dressed right away) and not one of us even got a little tan while we were out in tank tops and shorts. I would swear it even repels mosquitos because the one day my DS didn't put it on, he got mosquito bites at the pool and none of the rest of us did. I would imagine that no matter how long a flight, putting some of this stuff on before you go would be enough protection for that first day. It really does last all day even in the heat and humidity.

SHort black mega curly that i just wash, shake run my fingees thru and poof I am done! Tooth past Me thinks they will rethink soo "Hi officer "big breath here" how's it going?" Soon they will all gag and fall over

I was thinking the same thing about the toothpaste.

OMG Cyn we (my daughter TOT princess and I) just read your trip report. We literally were crying with laughter....loved the pictures...you have a beautiful family. We can't wait for more....can't complain though...you are the quickest with TR so far....unlike PD and Lizzy.

Today was a NIGHTMARE at work.
no more jokes about liquids. bad. bad. bad.

they are FREAKING OUT about this, so everyone..feel safe.

The case of Bananas i got at the supermarket had to be opened and searched before i could bring it up the back hallway. bag also searched. Had to get rid of my waterbottle..

AND I WAS'T EVEN GETTING ON A PLANE!

it's horrible. everyone travelling in the next few weeks...be prepared. Albany's average wait time during busy times is 15 minutes....today it was over 45.

never not liked working in an airport until today...

My DH and I were thanking heaven today that this didn't happen until after we got back! Hah! And to think, I heard about this here on the DIS before the news or anything else! I have been avoiding the outside world still, so I wouldn't have known unless you all told me.

I love that stuff too. I brought 4 bottles for our trip. I swear by it too. It is awsome and you don't get your hands all yucky. Coppertone 50 Continous spray rocks!!

Just thought I would check in and let everyone know I am still here lurking. Not much to say for now as my pony tail is draining the brain waves from my head. LOL I am anxiously awaiting the return of my internet! I am going to go buy a pair of crocs this weekend....unforunatly not in Lime Green as I am going to have to share them with my sister and she does not want lime green. I am going to go to HD today for some more LGMHPC's. Well gonna get going. See ya'll later.

I am curious. How are the shops and such like your coffee shop supposed to sell anything if it is not allowed on the planes? I have seen alot of people buy something right before they get on the plane and take it with them.

I am curious. How are the shops and such like your coffee shop supposed to sell anything if it is not allowed on the planes? I have seen alot of people buy something right before they get on the plane and take it with them.

Some people were just so PO'd they walked through the checkpoint into the store to buy another bottle of water. TSA had posted signs pretty much everywhere you could get a beverage saying that they were allowed in the "safe" area, but wouldn't be allowed on the plane.

With the exception to the first wave of people this morning who had no idea what they were walking into, people were pretty good natured about it. Most had seen the TV which said to leave for the airport extra early. After the initial clog of people this morning, people were still getting through pretty fast, which left plenty of time for them to buy new water bottles to drink and throw away before they got on the plane.

i'm kinda mad i didn't order extra water this week...
