So sorry about Chip! OMG, I wouldn't talk about our wedding for the longest time! An old friend came that didn't want me to marry dh, well he came to the wedding & the reception but wouldn't talk to me. Stupid me went to talk to him because I like to get things out in the open. Well we had some words & he moved away & I was crying--- nothing like being the star attraction with everyone watching you so I went downstairs. The stairway has 3 steps then a landing you can either go outside or open a gate & go 14 stairs & turn into the basement. I went downstairs. Everyone watching me sent dh after me. Well-- Superman decides to jump the gate & missed everystep there after. He ended up laying upside down against the door-- crawled into the room where I was & just collapsed. So then I'm thinking-- oh great I've been married an hour & my dh is dead--- I don't even think hospitalization has kicked in yet!?!?!? Well then the whole upstairs emptied into the basement because they thought we were throwing furniture. Then my ever sympathetic mom starts yelling at me because I'm ruining HER wedding! Luckily our photographer took pity on us, he kept us downstairs so we could calm down & took some pictures. They turned out great, you can hardly tell I was crying. What a day!!!! Now I can laugh about it though.

Hey Mary! Yeah those things do get better with age and no bruising! Since it was my 2nd marriage (his first) we paid for it all. It was fun, even when the garter blew away and attached itself to a little girl! Ah, the memories!!

(I worked there at the time....) It was a lovely rainy day (Isnt that supposed to be good luck or something - hope so!) We went to dinnner that night with some firends on the warf in DC (Hogates?? I wonder if its still there - or if thats the right name! ) Then, stayed __1__ night in a nearby hotel (my friend fell asleep on the other bed....grrrrreat........ ) And next morning I went back to my apartment in Greenbelt, Yourland and he drove back to Police Academy in Georgia. (We did eventually live together - still do!)

Cool! I don't know about the restaurant, I try to stay out of DC as much as possible! Next time you come to Myland stop by & see me some time. I am the first exit after the Fort McHenry tunnel on I95. I think its exit 55 or 56 it says Keith Ave.

That's how we're going in Sept. Originally booked our July trip for the five of us at 99.00 each way than got the reduced rate of 59.00 each way so had credits of 80.00 for each of us. Then booked September @ 59.00 each way less the credits so ... are... you ....ready.... $19.00 each way!! We arrive on the 28th so got in for free dining! We have annual passes so I just got a one day pass for each of us which we won't use and will save to upgrade in the future!!! I figure that's 300 toward future tickets, in the bank!!! We're staying five days/four nights at POR for the $155 per night. So total (without the tickets which we are saving for the future) is $820 + tax for airfare, room and meals, tickets are already paid for in AP from July trip I think we'll use ME this time to save even more!!! And my kids have a long weekend off from school that weekend so they're only missing 1 1/2 days of school! Goofy forbis we don't maimize our spending a little tho ...We're going to go to MNSSHP.

Yep it the name. I can't tell you how many yucky diapers she has taken off in her room and decorated the walls. WE are currently working on the potty training thing. She is 21 Months old and her big brother is 3 so he is just finishing up with the potty training thing. Emmy is very quick to learn everything. Too quick for her own good. Please share in the Emily stories with me I have lots..............

Oh my you sure you wanna do this?? she has been a going concern in this household for 17 years !
Wanna have me start very early? She was relatively quiet till we figured out why. She is SO OCD that she had to practice saying words by herself before using them. We would here her on the baby monitor for a few days then poof she would use it. Once she figured out how to talk I had to on occasion lock myself in bathroom and run water!!
She learned to read around age 3 1/2 and when went to school had to MAKE up words she could NOT spell. Perfect on all that stuff.

OOPS i have gone past the part in life yor Em is at.
How bout this: her nicknames: E.M. (pronouce eee -mmmm)
Em-lee
M.Y. (pronouce mmmm -- why)
but dad only calls her Emily.

You are definitely right about the names Emmy, Emily, ect... My friends little girl is named Emma and she can be a handful at times. She knows what she wants and that is it according to her (she just turned 2).

I've onl;y done this on SOuthwest. First make sure your flight is still available at the reduced price, then go to "travel center" on their webpage. you type in your reservation number to make the changes and you get a credit for whatever the difference is. I always call Southwest and have them walk me through it while I'm on the computer. I get nervous that I'll mess up and end up with no reservation.

Have you all ever seen the show Airline on A & E? Its about Southwest Airlines. Its out of BWI, LAX, Chicago, & a couple other places I think. Hmmm, wonder how many of you I've seen on there already. All right who was the rowdy drunk that they had to refuse the flight?!?!?!!? I'm waiting.

That show is the reason my mom wouldn't fly. I even asked her what the chance was that she was gonna get drunk & taken off the flight, but she didn't want to.

Obviously you have NOT met my family. When I got the rate to fly down for 411 (originally) she was so upset that I felt like a 14 year old instead of 44. Really hard to be nice. Uhm big question as to who has more money. Oh yeah NEITHER of us. I keep trying to convince her that with Dad's appetite the Dining Plan is really our only option since i seriously doubt he will be happy with hamburgers or salads Only once we get that settled can I call for ADR's and it is getting down to the wire on that one!

I love playing Uno, but no one else will play it with me...they say I'm too mean spirited and take it way too seriously. As if there is any other way to play it!!

You should try the local version here called "shipyard Uno". It's played with a deck and a half of card with some really unique reverses and cuthroat stuff added in. I'll have to ask hubby if he remembers the cards!

Hey y'all again..you guys are very hard to keep up with for a lazy one like me..My DS6 has some kind of virus, so we have been "busy" with that lately.. I gotta tell ya, once you break away for a couple of days and come back to see what you have to catch up on, it's kinda daunting...but y'all are so worth it!!!

Anyway, I can't post for long, just wanted to know how Cody is doing...can anyone fill me in? The last I knew he had Catscratch fever and had surgery to remove a lymph node, was recouperating at home...What's new with him??


Edited to add....I just posted this and read the post above mine where macrosswife quotes HMo2's last update...rabbit fever???? never heard of it, but am glad that the treatment has already begun..this has gone on far too long.

Hey your egg hatched-- Congratulations!!!! Sorry about your son being sick, hope he gets better soon! Packing my mom & dd1 up. They leave for Savannah Thursday 4 am. They will be staying at the Inn at Ellis Square. Sunday they will be going to Tybee Island. Monday they will be coming home.
