Well we are now all closed and have booked our first trip home and even have already done an add on a SSR. I thougt I would give a time line for our purchse for some information for buyers out there. I thought it went very quick and the board sponser (TTS) was amazing. This was our second attempt as our first try in mid May was bought back by Disney.
Well we put an offer in on 50 HHI points (Dec UY) on May 30, 2006 and it was sent for ROFR the same day. It passed ROFR on June 2, 2006 and we then recieved our closing papers by email on June 16. We sent them back the next day and the seller was very fast as well and we closed on June 26, 2006. We were in the DVC system on June 28 and we had our points to use on June 29. So from the offer to when we received our points was 31 days total. So a one month turn around was amazing.
We were on vacation at the time we recieved our points but we did an add on yesterday (July 5) of 50 points at SSR with the same use year and recived all 2005 points (no maintence fees) and two 1 day 1 park passes, and the usual $8.00 off per point. After the add on was completed and we got our points in the afternoon we made a reservation for the BCV for a studio for Jan 2007 for before or DCL cruise.
We cant wait to go home for the first time and we are so happy to finally be "Official" DVC members
Thank you all for the advice and info
