It had been a long night but me and my aunt got a good night's sleep. We wanted to get up at at least 9:00 so that we could eat breakfast before my friend Katie got there at 11:00. We had our breakfast (very good for a food court) and headed back to the room so that we could get ready for going to the park for the day.
Katie ended up showing up about a half an hour late because of some retarded mapquest directions. We concluded we would never use mapquest again. We then were very indecisive about which park to go to. The choice was between MGM and AK, and we chose MGM at the last minute because it had more air conditioned stuff.
At MGM, we went on the usual rides, WWTBAM, Star Wars, Backlot Tour, etc. There was one thing I was dissappointed about though. I used to love the Magic of Disney Animation, but now all it is is a stinkin' movie! I knew the studio closed and all, but couldn't they add something to it that fufilled the expectations of those who miss the tour? They should at least use that space for something constructive like a museum or something! Whew! Anyway, I decided I might go into pin trading one day since Katie stopped at every pin station there was and told about how all of the pins were so cute, and they were! She also told me about the whole trading thing and how it worked. I thought it was really cool.
When we got back to the hotel, we all decided that we wanted to eat in MK before the second night of Night of Joy since our NoJ tickets could get us in at 4:00. We tryed to get reservations at Tony's, but it turned out that the only table service restaurant availible was Cosmic Rays, and that was because they held preformances in there. We decided to eat in the food court again. I had my fave food there (chicken parmigana) and it was really good. I think I should just eat at all star food courts every night if I stay there.
We then went to NoJ and brought all the raingear with us. Thankfully, we didn't need it that night at all. We ended up seeing some of the best preformances there. First we saw Rebecca St. James, which was really great. A cool thing about her preformance was that she prayed for our state with us. I know some of you might think its weird that I think that's cool, but I like how the artists were aware of our weather situation and prayed for us even when they're not on stage, that makes me feel good. Anyway, the second artist we saw was Stephen Curtis Chapman. He is a great preformer with so much energy that I think I had the best time at that concert than any of them. He also mentioned his little adopted daughter Shohannah and how she thinks shes a Disney princess. I then realized, she had something in common with me!
The last preformance we saw was Third Day, which was a great way to top off the night. They were a very rockin' band and I enjoyed them very much. The lead singer then told his own proud papa story. His wife was afraid he might get recognized while they were in the parks, so she wanted him to wear fake dreadlocks. If you know the band its an even cuter story.
That night we went on Buzz Lightyear twice, mostly because Katie loved it and I enjoyed spinning around.
We also went on POTC again, only this time with people, SCREAMING people.
We also went on the new Aladdin ride before we decided to call it a night. This time we knew what we were doing transportation-wise and got back right away. I was so tired at the time that I noticed the flags at ASMo were at half-staff and I wondered why. At first I thought that Clinton had died, but then I realized that it was 1:30 AM on September 11th. (To Be Continued)
