Hi everyone,

I have been remiss in writing a review of our 1st Universal stay. We booked 2 connecting garden view rooms with our AP rate. Check in was a breeze, and were upgraded to 2Q Villa rooms. One was a deluxe room with the pullout sofa and the connecting room had floor to ceiling windows....with this view

that was 2269 and our connecting room was 2267

I was pleasantly surprised with the resort. It was quiet, and lovely. The water taxi was great. And our room was right by the harbor, villa and beach pools. It was very easy to navigate the resort with the stroller. Being that we were on the second floor, we hardly needed the elevators-just used the ramps outside.

US/PBH made my family into Universal lovers. We didn't eat often onsite, I drove to local fast food, Publix as my kids are very picky. The gelato and Sal's deli was very good though. Room service for breakfast-wouldn't do that again. Food not warm, and Confisco's buffet was better AND cheaper. All good, I wanted to try it.

My only negative comment, our bill had a lot of errors. Some due to having 2 rooms (double charges) A couple were hotel errors. The third person I went to was able to help.....but it took me 3 hours to rectify. Not enough to ruin the trip, but still gave me a huge headache.

The pool and activites were fabulous, and we spent a lot of time swimming! Early morning to HP, no lines...need I say more :worship:

Thank you to all on this thread for your advance planning help!!! We will definitely stay on site again!

that is one gorgeous view from your room!

that's a shame of wasting 3 hours of your time to correct a billing error.
you'd think they would have thrown a beer or two in for making amends....

really, you should have brought it to the attention of the manager of receiving cold food in your room service order.
they would have corrected that or written it off.

hope you have another great room with a view on your next stay there!

The lady helping me gave my DD6 a coupon for a free breakfast for being a good girl (poor girl wanted to stay with me) too bad we were leaving, and breakfast was over :confused3

You are so right about the room service, but it was our first morning there and the kids we dying to go on the rides. No biggie. That didn't bother us, especially since we were so happy still about our upgrade :goodvibes

I will also say that the manager at Confisco Grille is great, there was a double charge on our room credit for our breakfast (the server had to modify the bill since they mixed up charges) I had both bills, since the server was proactive and gave them to me "just in case". When I pointed it out to PBH I was told I had to go back to the restaurant. Sooooo (luckily I had 7 day tickets) I did, well they were awesome. Took care of everything, even though they did fix the error on their side, and told the hotel days earlier. She made sure it was fixed, showed me all her documentation, credited more $ for my inconvienence...not too mention complimentary soda and ice cream (for DS) while we waited. It just really stood out as great customer service, which I did write in my survey.

The good at PBH far outweighed the billing error, but after 1 young lady blew me off, then when I came back with paperwork rolled her eyes :headache: it was a bad way to end the visit....if it had happened at check in they would've had more time to make it up to me

PBH was more beautiful then I could've imagined. :cloud9:

Sorry about your inconveniences, glad you were able to take it in stride. PBH is really one of my favorite hotels anywhere. I love the atmosphere of the place, and glad you (mostly) enjoyed your stay.

Thank you!!! It was our first visit, so when we checked in the young lady at the desk mentioned a 3 category upgrade so she could get us into ready rooms. It wasn't until I walked the resort I understood the locations of East,West, and Villa wings. I did glance at the club lounge (passed it from lobby to Villa wing, and it looked very nice. We were at the end of the hall so to our left were elevators which went right down, smack in the middle of both pools and a quick walk to the right to a door leading to stairs and a ramp to walk to Beach pool/harbor. Perfect for us with the little ones :lovestruc

2267 was the deluxe room and 2269 had the huge windows -they both had that view and DH and DD could see me from the middle of the pool (when I stayed with the napping kiddos)

Thanks for the review. Great upgrade---lucky duck:goodvibes

PBH is our favorite resort followed by Poly. We love the theming there and feel the staff(with a few minor front desk exceptions) are super friendly.

Too bad you had a less then stellar room service experience. We actually love the room service at PBH and it is now a traditional as it makes us all feel so pampered. Did they not bring the food in the heated rolling cart? Granted we have only had room service for dinner, but our server always brought the food inside the heated rolling cart/table and our food was always piping hot. And we love how the cart turns into a table (yeah--we are easily impressed and simple folk:rotfl:) We also loved picking up breakfast items from Sal's in the morning. They have incredible pastries and oldest DD and I were completely in love with their croissants that had the dark chocolate pieces baked in. OMG---just divine with coffee. Dh always got a breakfast sandwich and youngest DD would usually have cereal and yogurt.

It was breakfast that we ordered room service. It did come on 2 carts. Maybe because it was such a big order :confused3 The pancakes were  waffles were OK but not warm enough. We LOVED Sal's too

I was wondering if you had to show 2 annual passes for your 2 rooms? I just booked 2 connecting rooms at PB and was told I had to have 2 APRs to get the discounted rates for both rooms!
