We had dinner reservations at the Crystal Palace on Sunday October 18th at 6:10 PM. We were seated at 6:20 PM. We had a nice long and relaxing dinner. We sat down as soon as Pooh left our area so we couldn't get pictures with him and he didn't return until around 7:45 PM. After our pictures with Pooh as we were leaving we were asked at the exit of the Crystal Palace if we had tickets for MNSSHP and we said no. We were escorted to the exit of the Magic Kingdom by a cast member. I have never heard of this. The other family that were being escorted out with us were having a fit. They couldn't believe thay had to leave the Magic Kingdom. I knew we would have to leave but I never heard of the personel escort.

It sounds like they're responding to customer feedback and are getting more aggressive about getting non-ticketed folks out of the parties.

I wouldn't take it personally. They probably walked you right to the exit due to the family that was throwing a fit.

When I went to MNSSHP I spoke to a cast member who was giving out the maps. She told me that due to a system glitch, they had allowed ADRs during the party for people who do not have party tickets. She told me that rather than cancelling those ADRs, they have implemented special wristbands and additional checks. Indeed, I was asked constantly for my wristband until well after 9 PM both at rides and random checks when just walking around.

We're having dinner at the Crystal Palace on Nov. 29th at 6:05, it's also a party day, and no, we're not attending the party. Maybe we'll be escorted out too!!

They started that this year. They used to NOT ALLOW NON PARTY people to schedule ADRS after 545pm on party nights at all. This year due to Free dining, the new computer adr system, they allowed it, but now escort you out when you are finished to prevent people from lingering at the party that did not pay to be there. There are plenty of people that are honest and probably would not need an escort. But unfortunately there are plenty of people that are also dishonest, and would FULLY take advantage

Amazing. They were having a fit? Great example for their kids.:rolleyes1
Well kids, we didn't buy party tickets, but we're mad that we can't crash the party anyway.

I am not surprised...Last year at MNSSHP I saw a huge family of about 12 people, including very small children, get stopped.NONE had wristbands. The Cms politely explained about the party and that they could purchase tickets. The Man refused and got nasty and argumentative. They ALL got escorted out and yelling and cursing a blue streak the whole way .The kids look scared and embarrassed..What a memory to make for your family.

You forgot to add "and we paid more to get in here for our ticket too!" LOL

I have a trip report about my recent trip to Disney including a dinner at Crystal Palace on a MNSSHP night 10/20.
You can read it here

Go to #6 of the thread to read about how no one cared that we were at MNSSHP at the beginning of the party.

I was concerned about my resevation also and Robo who answers many questions said not to be concerned and then you'd be escorted out...no escort.

Considering they are adding party days at what seems like the last minute... it wouldn't be fair to ask the non-party goers to change their ADRs.

However, what if you didn't plan on going to the party, but had a late ADR.. like 8pm? What would those people do?

If alot of people are getting upset about this they may stop the late ADR's for non party people. That would not be too good.

I made dinner reservations at LTT on a MNSSHP night and about a week before, I received a call from Disney asking me if I was planning on attending the party. I told them "yes, but I have not purchased my tickets as of yet," and they said OK. There were trying to weed out the people with tickets as opposed to people w/o tickets.

I have never understood why someone would even book a dinner there on a night of these parties unless they were attending it. We avoid it at all cost. I also think that it's a great idea to escort them out of the park. Why let them stay if they didn't pay? :confused3 It's not fair to the ones who did.

Maybe they didn't realize it's a party night or they don't know what a hard-ticket even means.
Btw, I have an adr for California Grill on an MVMCP night which I am hoping will let us see the holiday fireworks. Mwahaha.
;)

We are eating at Cindys on a party night that we are not attending..I know there is no way we will be finished before the party starts. I would love to be escorted out!! Kinda like royalty! ha!! Iwas wondering how they were handling this... I think it's only right!

Ran into a similar situation a while back. We had planned and booked around park hours. Then unknown to us the hours changed just before we left, for none other than a party. We were booked at CRT. By the time we exited CRT, the party was on. We weren't escorted out, but we were promptly told to exit. We had originally planned to catch Wishes as we exited CRT..... so much for that plan!

These parties are not good!

I think the escorts out are a good thing. That way there is no question on anyone's part that, yes you have to leave, and everyone dining who doesn't have a ticket actually does leave the park. It cuts down on the confusion, and being asked every 5 min for your wristband.

Well, for us, that is our first full day of vacation...we will be hitting MK at RD. We are going to be there until time for the MVMCP and then leave. But, that was the only available time for CRT..so I would rather do that and leave than not get to eat there at all. I agree...if people dont pay for party tickets ,they shouldn't be at the party.

I think this is a great ides! Unfortunately for the OP, you had to be escorted out with a raving maniac.
