Monday, September 24

While we had planned to sleep in this morning, we were all up fairly early (around 7:00). After everyone got ready we headed to the food court for breakfast. Then we needed to “check in” again, because our package started today. Again, check in only took a few minutes, we got our new cards, and were on our way. We arrived at Epcot , and entered by 10:50am.

We headed right to Test Track to get a Fast Pass (this is one ride we had never gotten to do, so it was a priority). On the way we ran into the character bus. There was hardly anyone around so we practically had the characters to ourselves. When we got to TT, the posted wait was 15 minutes so we decided to ride it then. We only waited about 10 minutes until we were in the pre show. Next, it was on to one of Cameron’s favorites, Food Rocks, in The Land. Then we checked out the Imagination pavillion. We did Journey Into your Imagination, and the What If Labs. This was new to us, and we thought it was pretty good. We sent an email picture home, and I made a WDW CD. Next stop was The Living Seas. We were given the option to skip the movie, and we did. The kids loved the fish here. They could have stayed for hours. Then we did a quick ride on Spaceship Earth before heading to Mexico for lunch. We ate at Cantina De San Angel, and had a nice table right out on the water. Actually, only 3 tables were taken, so we had our choice. The kids played in the playground area in Norway before we rode Maelstrom. Next it was back to Mexico to ride El Rio Del Tiempo. We then headed to the other side of FW and did Universe of Energy(the kids love dinosaurs!), and The Wonders of Life. We saw Cranium Command for the first time and really liked it. We had the interactive area to ourselves so the kids played around there for a while. Now I had to go to the opposite end of FW to pickup my CD at Imagination (it wasn’t ready right away when I made it. I think it takes about ½ hour). After reading the reviews on these boards, I just had to try a Beavertail in Canada, and since we were in the area, I couldn’t resist. The 5 of us shared 2 of them, but we could have had more they were so good.

It was 7:00pm, and it had been a long day so we decided to head back to the hotel for a swim. On our way out we took a quick walk through Ice Station Cool. During the bus ride back to ASMO, it once again started down pouring, so again, we didn’t make it into the pool. We went to the Food Court. DH didn’t fill up on the Beavertails, so he got a steak sub & a beer, and the kids had hotdogs. DM & myself opted for frozen mudslides for dinner (hey, its vacation!). After that, we called it a night.

All in all, I was surprised at how much there was for the kids to do at Epcot,. I had never realized that there was so much interactive stuff for little ones. They really enjoyed it.

Tomorrow- MGM, Downtown Disney, and will we ever make it into the pool without it raining on us???
