Our Own Rapid Fires

I just want to jump in cause I've always wanted to say

I'M KEEPIN' IT RAPID!!!

Ok here is mine - if you are not a site sponsor to the DIS boards - you should really invest in it. There's not a better way to say thanks! :thumbsup2

Here's the link: http://www.wdwinfo.com/dis-sponsor/index-new.htm

Pete gives you lots of free stuff with it. I became a sponsor a long time ago, so I didn't get the cool polo shirt - but I STILL get my site sponsor ship board credit when I cruise! :thumbsup2 and I got a mug. ;)

Oh, wow - I didn't realize about the shipboard credit for Lifetime sponsorship. I usually do bronze or silver. Although, my last sponsorship never went thru, I don't think - I never got the icon or any of the swag (maybe because I'd gotten it in the past?) Anyway, it would make sense to just do the Lifetime if you cruise often - it would pay for itself quickly!

OK, I've got one for you. Mickey played a doubles tennis match today (May 20, 2009) at Disneyland Resort Paris on a special court set up on Main Street USA in preparation for the French Open. He played with world ranked players Gael Monfils, Stansilas Wawrinka, and Yannick Noah.

How cool is that?! Wonder how Mickey did? :teeth:

I love DLP's castle :goodvibes

ETA: Just had a closer look at the picture
- Look at the mouse ears the spectators are wearing: The ears look like tennis balls (or are at least tennis ball colored)
- The net has Mickeys in it. Cute!

With the podcast for this week being "rained out":sad2:, perhaps we can come up with our own rapid fires just for fun.

I'll start (you didn't think I would start this thread without something more to say did you?). I am getting a new Pei Wei Asian Dinner and it is only two miles from my house. If I recall correctly, Kevin gave the Orlando location a pretty favorable review in the November 12, 2008 podcast. That is, I know it was the 11/12/08 podcast and I'm thinking he gave it a good review.

I'm remarkably excited about this - not only do food and I go way back but I enjoy P.F. Chang's and could survive entirely on Chinese and Mexican style food (unless I lived in EPCOT).

Who else has a rapid fire (or a hijack)?

Ok, this makes me really happy.

Dont care as long as it's not the psycho, bunny, lizard with the annoying voice.

:lmao:

rumor, rumor, rumor.......

They have completely removed the track from inside space mountain and they are putting in new track. Heard on good authority that this is a complete gutting and rehash. Got the good scoop last week from some that are "in the know.":woohoo::woohoo:

Crud. :headache: I just got the courage to try regular Space Mountain, now they're changing it up on me again.

Oh well. I'll bite. I am now a huge fan of Silver Springs in Ocala. They are now having a buy one, get one free offer for an Adult day pass, making admission about $18 w/o tax. I'm pretty sure that Ocala is about an hour from Disney (don't quote me on that) but if you are sick of the parks, enjoy nature at Silver Springs. It is a real fun place to go, especially if you like to see the natural surroundings. They have glass-bottom boats, animals (panthers, bears, giraffes, etc.) on exhibit, and awesome gardens.

I hope that suit had air conditioning.

I'll go, just in time for Star Wars Weekend Disney has released some limited edition Big Figs. Here's Goofy as Jar Jar Binks! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Only $200!

Ok....I'll go next.

On a recommendation from a friend....I bought some new music by a guy named Mat Kearny.

His new CD is called "City of Black and White".

Havent been able to stop listening.

I may be late to this bandwagon and y'all already know about this guy.......but I think he's REALLY good.

No rapid fire here just a thank you to Kevin. I gave his music a listen and I really do like his voice, reminds me of someone of heard before just can't think of the name right now.
I could see myself buying some songs or the album.

That's an idea Kevin you could do CD reviews in addition to you and John always doing the retaurant reviews!

Hey I think you need to tell the podcast crew, it will be a whole new segment for the show.

So do I get a shot at the prize machine now!!! :rotfl2:

Am thinking of going to Cheesecake Factory tonight for dinner if I do I'll post a review!

Did you go? What did you think if you did? Where in NE Ohio is the Cheesecake Factory? We tried the one in Buffalo NY on our way out three weeks ago.....VERY yummy. Worth the two hour drive back. I have never seen such an extensive menu.

Ok, not so rapid, but it is a hijack. :yay:
